Thank a lot for visiting my SB, I'm very happy about ur comment
I like the new one, there's always a kind of humor in your pictures, I love that.
A bit ironic and sarcastic... hard to describe but I hope you know what I mean

Salaryman, stunning work. The oodles of doodles are astounding... but let me beg you, please post more of the raw sketchwork. I love both, the clean and the frothy.

okay, decided die, robot! was a far better (and d'uh, obvious) title for this series. Probably do a few more from time to time. This was inked in about 20 mins and shows, it's a complete dog... and a weak idea....

edit: This image really bugged me. I binned the sketch and inks and now the digital form, I suggest you all clear your temp files.

    REMOVED

I feel bad about deleting stuff, so here's another oldie for that failed Disney project:

lukavi: great to see you here!

Kresh: it's all digital bar the linework. It's a finish I want to play around with more...here's another old sketch shaded at lunch:

daarken: cheers, thanks, I think it's lost it a bit of late...

Wetterschneider: no, I couldn't be so cruel to the eyes...

GunTrouver: yeah, I try to be serious, street and cool, but I end up just being silly.

    squidmonk3j: thanks man, one day...

    I.was.ink: too late!

krakel: wow, thanks, that means a lot! Props and guns yeah, and a few vehicles, but not my strong point... here are some enviros from over a year ago! Another failed project which I can't discuss suffice to say it was crazy!

Dutton: cheers, yep, it's where I want to head.

BillyDead: nice name. I need to draw that name...

bwkeough: me too (I need more time!)

dogfood, hey man! I need to know that brand on your avatar for a die, robot! idea. You know the blue striped label thing...

Inkfish: yeah, I really enjoyed it, I don't think my image captures the humour of the character though...

    m@: cheers chap

shinryu: thanks, more to come (one day!)

Fellah, always a pleasure to see you here!

I'm thinking of reproducing my sketchbook in print form, maybe with a commentary, we'll see.

Essentially I gotta earn for 4 from now on, so I'm going to have to supplement the day job. Any art directors interested let me know...

Thanks for all the kind words regarding my work and my daughters. Catch you all soon...

    Cal

O.k. I have to know. Do you choose to use a single line weight as part of your style? Have you ever felt the urge to use different line weights to emphasise parts of a piece?

I love your stuff. I've tried your sort of uniform line style, but my brain always wants me to go back to using different weight lines.

well, if I can't see more toned drawings, can I some more environments? I really like this set, great drawings and I dig the shared color palette.

tensai, bwkeough,Carnifex, yeah 3D. I can't blame anyone for that as I created them, maybe more time and polygons would have helped, maybe not. The faces are not rigged, so a blank 'bind' expression is all they have. One day I hope to catch the energy of my 2D in my 3D. One day I hope to never have to do 3D.

And as for the final incarnation vs the first. Oh man, many tears shed over that, the art director and I very nearly came to blows.... anyway, good to know I wasn't the only one who preferred that version, thanks bwkeough.

GunTrouver, thanks, always great to see you here.

and the rest of you, thanks again, I'm humbled.

I've had some very grown up stuff to deal with recently, so sorry for the lack of updates. I'll let you in on it soon, but thanks for the support while I've been AWOL.

mini update: a couple of Hoods:

and an absolute shameless plug:goddamn sell out. One day I hope to have reprints of my sketchbook up there, but until then...

    Updates soon.

    Cheers.

THis serie of drawing are just great, the idea behind are relly clever.

    cheers

Great new stuff, I'm corious you inked the first guy in 20 minutes, amazing!
The Taxi offices are great, I love them, the colors you chose are very nice.
I can just repeat: Great Great Great
The technique you used for the little black shadded picture is very intersting, looks very cool. Which kind of brush do you use?
Looking forward for your surprises, keep it up!
