The games I would recommend are Kamui (Rayforce clone) and Reflex (Similar to Giga Wing except that you have armor instead of ship stock).

Free downloadable games that I enjoyed.

Sumotori Dreams - you play boxy drunk sumo wrestlers. Very funny.
Acid arena monster blast - Sort of like Quake 3 (same engine) but in acid colors and with weird look

look up Gateway and Gateway 2 on google... they're two great flash games. Gateway 2 especially... it's very eerie! They're puzzle games, kind of like the same concept with Myst puzzles or those flash games like 'the scarlet room'.
