Arctis' worlds (!UPDATE! 3)

Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, so I decided to show you a project that is important for me.

Here are 3 researches of characters that I created for a short story I wrote 3 year ago.
One is called Riis, and is the man who saved his people from being destroyed by a cosmical catastrophe, by organizing a great exodus. However he was so unconfident in himself, that he never recognized the historical role he played.
The woman is Isei, Riis' wife, who was a famous singer, but ended her life in silence.
The old char in red is Min, Riis' grandfather.
I wanted my characters to look almost like human, but with different ancestry ( human's ancestors are apes, but Rii's ancestors are saurians).
These pict are totally digital, from the first sketch to the final rendering.
Tell me what you think about it, I hope you will enjoy !

NB : about Isei, I know reptiles have no mamals, but these one evolved a lot, like human since the first fish left the sea for the earth.

beautiful!
its pretty hard to tell what you used to make these. im impressed that they are fully digital.
you really managed to use the digital attributes to their fullest and still mantain a great traditional quality... not an easy task.

These are stunning! The first one I think needs a little more contrast in the hand in some places to make it match a little more, but that's about the only thing I could think of. The woman is totally killer - great design, great composition. Damn.

I have seen your pictures while ago. Loved them.
The detail adds realism, makes me think of the real portraits of existing people, from some ancient world, somewhere...

Hi everybody,
Here's a few pictures of environnement :
- first one is supposed to be an old photo of an anlien artefact. It won a honorable mention in the Grand Space Opera contest of CGnetworks (this contest was a great experience : first time I entered in a forum...

)
- The second one, older, is the first page of a comic that remains unfinished ... It's the first scene, when we arrive in an alien city in the clouds. I wanted stone-like clouds, representing a threatening climate, in which the city is the only refuge. My GSO entry was inspired from that of course.
- The last one is a little study for the cover of that "virtual" comic.
All images are totally digital.
Though it's only part of a project that I can't show in its totality, I hope you'll enjoy these little things for themselves...

freekin' hell, those enviroments are lookin' damn cool, great color, great mood, great scale, big mountainy thing small air vehicles!

Some nice characters too, although I'm more of an envi guy!
