oma: Thanks, I'm glad you like 'em.
ashrumm: Thanks, I'll try.
Burning Eyes: Cheers, Yep, lots of talented teens here.
Here's a sketch I did today. I started it off by randomly scribbling around and eventually it ended up as a robot.
wow, that last one is very cool !! me likes, keep it up!
Really cool book! I just have one little crit: some of yout images could use some harder edges, but they're very good nonetheless.
The last robot is very good, and I love the Nord in the previous page.
Good work, keep it up!
You've got some pretty cool pics here Proteus. I especially like the red armored guy shooting the alien plants (?).
One thing I noticed is that your brush strokes tend to be very visible, which I would try to get away from. There is a point where that visibility turns into an asset, but right now you've got too many strokes. Maybe try smudging larger areas a bit to work out the lines, and also try to incorporate some more hard shadows and highlights in your work. Make them work for you around the edges of armor plates and such and it will give your image more kick.
Es fließt durch meine Venen, Es schläft in meinen Tränen
Es läuft mir aus den Ohren, Herz und Nieren sind Motoren
Dile: Thanks Dude.
entdroid: Thanks, I agree with your crit, I'll definitly be using some harder edges.
dfacto: Thanks man, I tried to apply your advice to the robot sketch. I think it looks a lot better now. Thanks.

yo man, that likes really nice. Throw some colour on it though and pump up the contrastLook at that bot steak-tron did in the MB portfolio, for good use of colour on a bot!
you have some nice stuff in here. i especially like this one: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y52...match72_td.jpg very nice work, only crit i have is on this one: http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1155829808 i know it's a speedy and it's easy to overlook stuff in speedys but the character in it is being attacked by swarms of monsters, but at the same time looks like he's taking a brisk walk along the beach, a little bit "overly chill" about the situation at hand. He looks like he can't decide if he should dangle the gun over the bloodthirsty creature a little longer or if he should instead take another sip of his fat free latte. hope i'm not bein to harsh, he just needs a little more dynamicism in his pose in my opinion.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Enjoying your stuff already. The quadriped blue creature has nice bulk and an awesome pose. Lots of other good stuff too.
I agree with artzealot, the pose in that piece could really make it shine. You look like the guy who can handle the job

Crits on anything?
Amasing progress, and in such a short time. I really like the arctic pic in post #75, the one beside it is also very nice! The last update really shows how good you've become. I didn't know the DS had such a good painting feature. Neato!
I like how your paints look. You have some nice and clean tehcniques![]()
Some really nifty stuff!!
On this DS Colours piece, I think the clouds could be more horizontally straight. You could also mix up the tones in the sky I think. It would probably say more if the road was more exposed, more to the left/his right. moving the car further down the road would also tighten up the composition.
It was really nice meeting you Josh, hopefully we can have a sketchmeet sometime. Come to Auckland!![]()
