    PandaWhipped's dailys :)

Hallo. I'm brand new to this forum, but the talent here has inspired me to post my own daily sketchbook. I hope this isnt meant just for well known artists to post their sketches cause I'm certainly not well known  Take a look and let me know whatcha think! These will mostly be done in Photoshop with a wacom since I don't have 24hour access to a scanner. Hopefully this will motivate me more to draw everyday...feel free to egg me on!

    2 from yesterday (march 1st):

I like the first two, but especially taht arm. The third pic of the girl looks flat, kinda like she's suspended in air. It lacks core shadows, and form shadows in her torso to describe its shape.

This section isn't just for pros. Actually not that many pros post there daily sketches!

    Post on brother!

Thanks iwasink I agree about the flatness. I have a hard time putting in dark shadows for some reason. like im scared to. I think its a little easier for me when I'm using a pencil though. I haven't quite figured out what techniques to use in photoshop. I'm still experimenting a lot with it. So i tried to put more shadow into this one. This is from a ref pic in Anatomy for the Artist.

hey i have that book. looks ok, but everything looks to uniform. Try using the paintbrush with the opacity turned off, and use only like two or three colors! or shades of grey. That way u force yourself to make those bold strokes!

iwasink: still havin' a heck of a time shading in photoshop and making it look natural. I used a much lower opacity brush this time (around 10), but i guess itll just take practice. In the mean time, I tried a different style of shading.

Yaseck: thanks ive been studying the arm for awhile now cause it use to intimidate me.

Again this is using a reference pic from Anatomy of the Artist. I can see ive made the calf and foot way too big
