Thanks dudes. Yeah, apparently the almost invisible nipples are horrendous on peoples' eyes so Photobucket yoinked it. Harrumph.

To cut a long story short - computer go fizz, had faulty memory, blah blah blah only got it back last week. So I'll just get down to business then eh? First part of a fairly large update, the older stuff from late October to early November.

Colours first! Here's a ChOW WIP I fully intend to finish (the Fairy Hitman).

    Scrabbling around in Painter again.

Now for some of the sketches, studies, and scribbles. Some have refs, some are just from my head.

I will be back with the newer stuff tomorrow

I realy enjoy the pencil for the elf. Did you use any ref for the folds? Because they are really good. The only thing i can point a finger at is some of your ink gestures. They have a very scrachy line.

    Waiting for the next update.

studies are looking very good, every time i check your sb it just reminds me how badly i need to study some anatomy. those environment thumbnails are very nice as well, super clean and crisp which is something usually very lacking in thumbs and sorry to hear about computer troubles

Njord: I was a silly girl and didn't use any refs for the clothing I'm working on making them look a bit more unique at the moment, someone said he kind of looked like Gambit, heh.
invincible: no, you've improved a heck of a lot! :p I like doing the enviro thumbs so I will keep practicing them as well.

New update, early November up til now. Some of these are REALLY bad, lol.
SP for Nov 1, didn't have much time but I got this out real quick (well, for me).

Some pages of, uh, varying quality...

My markers are running out again, but it produces an interesting effect on the paper.

I got sunburnt and had to put this stuff on my back, so whilst shirtless I found some mirrors and did some quick scribbles.

    Pencrap, warmups, etc.

So, guess there's nothing left to it but to get back to work, hmm?

Thanks all. Been away from the SB for a bit, last week I did a 3-day bar/drinks course, which I completed and now I can serve alcohol (and cleanly pour 2 mixers, a shot, and a glass of wine in under 80 seconds). Whee. On to business...some Hogarth, some scribbles, and some ref'd work too.

Also, I finished that pic a fair while back but forgot to post it, I'll attach it here. Lots of things I can see wrong with it, but hey, that's progress right?

Thanks guys. To cut a long story short, I got sick just before Christmas and I've only really just recovered now. Icky. Anyhoo. Got some stuff I did a lil it before the illness-time, and two from now (January) at the bottom. Holy crap, it's 2007! Another year of attempted improvement lies ahead, hehe.

    December:
    Hogarth.

    No ref.

    Random.

    Warmups...

Lineart by wottan, colours by me, from new media colouring book thread:

Lineart by dehron_samiel, colours by me, from new media colouring book thread:

Done for Zebz (CAorg secret santa!), might finish it...

    Speedpaint, ref.

Another speedie, ref. Must be quiet up there...

Base sketch for a larger work...you'll see more of this as I progress...

And now, it's January! Trying to keep a daily drawing habit!
No refs, cept for quick hand sketches:

Hands from my left as ref.

Guess you can expect more. Working on the human form for now, gotta get back into the groove again after being out of it for a week or so :p

You really tackle your anatomy girl, I see you love goat wolfes cats stargate and winged creatures. You are totally going to get whatever you want when you begin working, whereever that may be. I'm interested in how long you have been drawing,,,, you know before you started the sketchbook that is. I just now started 2month ago and Because you were good way back on page one. I dont see as much improvement than I see patience and hardwork. You seem to care alot more when you are in compeition and have to actually work out an idea.

In short you do animals and people well from books anyway. No offense. it has been mentioned before maybe try drawing from life. A boyfriend or fiance or something, mom or roomate.

I'll salute you too because most girls here wouldn't title their own naked sketches of themselves, you have some balls, as in guts. But heh your cute why not.

(i hope i dont sound perverted)

Jake, invincible, thanks! Be stoppin by in a sec to see what youse are up to.
NicoRaven: Drawing...hmm, sort of started a 'regular' pattern when I was about 13, but didn't really bother trying to learn properly until about age 16/17. As for life drawing, aye, I reckon that's one of my biggest deficiencies and probably the reason I'm so limited in body types when I try to draw. That, and I only really have myself + a couple mirrors to practice with until I can find a place around here that has life drawing. Hopefully I'll be able to find one soon, it's getting boring
Like you said, I don't really try new challenges unless I'm under pressure (deadline, competition, and so on). So I guess now what I'm trying to do this year is also push myself when I don't have a looming force hanging over me, we'll see how this goes eh? Thanks for your thoughts by the way, I like having other opinions to hear, esp. when they're opening up a couple things I gloss over by myself! Hehe.

Well, it's almost the end of the first week of the new year, and so far I've stuck to my daily drawing resolution (albeit in limited amounts, hmm). Rock.
    Now for a speedie (ref'd).

From the mirrors again. This must be the cheapest form of life drawing evar.

    Stuff from me noggin...

Old, old medical anatomy textbooks are fun. Particularly the Myology chapters. Slowly hammering it into permanent memory (I hope). Got lazy and tired towards the end...

    Until next time!

the studies and life drawings are looking good, you should finish up some more of the sketches from your imagination though, you always have things started out that look really cool and interesting but not much gets carried through.

You've got a great gift for drawing animals. Really nice lines and a natural feel to them all. You're people studies are helping as well.

Your painted stuff is also nice, but you have some funky colour choices. The last one looks really promising though.

    Keep it up!

Too bad you got ill again. Hopefulle your better now.

I really enjoy your two first drawings. They have a very dreamy feel about them. On the secound one though, I can really fiure out whats going on with the legs. The foreshorting is not sucessful.

Overall it is really good work. Hope your ill period is over now.

I have the clear sensation that some of your works are tormented by high oppinions telling you to be precise and "correct" and some other works have such fluidity of lines that can only make me think they went unfiltered by a tirant consciousness The second ones are my favourites but I do understand the first ones

    keep it up man.

    Cheers
