    hey pipou,

I'm not sure if I really have to drop a line here since this thread will be overcrowded with ohhs and ahhs in a few hours.
Anyway, as Coro said you have reached a new level since you are working at Darkworks on an every day basis. Now you are among the biggest, no doubt. I don't know what you are waiting for, Hollywood's waiting for you man !

I'm proud to be your friend, but not because you're a great artist (cos' in a way I do not fuckin' care), just because you're a great guy. ok, here's why I had to drop a line here

    take care.

Very cool stuff! The red Samurai(?)-Deamon is great... looks very agressive, cool pose too.

One question about the RoundTable Cover... why did you choose to make it "colder"? I like the version without text better...

    Yo Homie!

I love that first one...so much that I have to say this one thing. I wish there was a bit more focus on the face. Perhaps some more interesting play of light and cast shadows would help...whatever still cool...

    crits for this one: http://www.aneyeoni.com/ART/Illustra...bs.800_590.jpg
it is really quite fabulous, but looking at the vibrance of the colors in the BG, the face looks rather monochromatic... kinda muddy.
also, the sword looks bent in a naive fashion... kind of unintentaionally painted that way. the handle(Tsuba) and sheith (saya) should be one continuous curve... and the curve should be facing up (like this "^")
i love your rendering... and you have been haveing much subliminal influence on me lately...
    lovely stuff

Fantastic!! I love the 'special effects' in the first three... really strong...

And the lighting and mood of the cover art is great.

What software do you use? Is it Photoshop or Painter? (And what versions...?)

    Wowow thanks my friends

jrr : I don't know exactly because I'm always managing different projects at the same time.
First speed paintings for the sketches, then waiting for approval, then finshing them. Love to have more time to fix them all at best.

Coro : You met me when I was only a child Thanks for your kind words !
It encourages me to carry on.
This Magic cards are one year old and I'm sure my current works are differents (and I hope much better).

SquaredS : yes, this guy's casting a spell that is going back and shooting himself. The card is called Aura Barb.

    Living Rope :
    Thanks mon pipou !

Profil : traditional pencils, then scanned, then traditionaly inked over some print copies of the sketches then scanned again and fixed with photoshop. huh...Boring...

Bomba, Marko : thanks ! more than glad and proud to read such comments from you !

Endregan : Your french is maybe better than my English
btw, I would know what do you think of my written English :
    -sometimes completly incomprehensible ?
    -exotic and funny ?
-We don't care, we're just looking at the pictures.

Nicolas : Thanks! Your work is really good too !

Chuck, Lone Wolf, Mecos, REEF, Salonen: Thanks !

mk : I don't know why the finiched cover is different. Not my choice. The publisher sent me this cover with the title.

JoshuatheJames : thanks for your comment. I agree with what you're talking about. I hope to do better on the next one.

    Donkeyslayer : same thing

Andy : thanks. The last B&W covers you've posted were awesome !

Eygji : You are some of my favorite comments from this thread

    Duddlebug : only Photoshop CS

The second one is bloody gorgeous.. Almost cinematic, so much movement

btw, I would know what do you think of my written English :

I understand everything, but that's just my strange talent (or long online experience?). So I'll go for the third

    Spectacular.

'Flames of the Blood Hand' is rock solid, but the cover has to be my favourite here - great, great atmosphere. Bravo, Aleksi.
