One last watercolor before I fly back to C-Bus.
Salt for the atmposphere, clinging plastic (Saran wrap) for the ground.
Should work better with properly stretched, heavier paper.
First sketch of the Fall '09 semester.
Many more (hopefully better) to come
My neighbor Bruce had his birthday last week, so I made him a little something. Schools going to get busy, much more to come.

It's a 3 week pose, gonna try pushing it for as long as I can.
Awful typography.
Happy New year Jews,

We need to design our own videogame. Character sheet to start things off.
I'm going with an action RPG that mixes pirates with pulp science fiction, ray guns and all![]()
INTJf: Galatic Ninja Team 2² assemble!
Final for the 3 week pose.
Time for a dump.
Stuff from the zoo, free model session and portrait painting class.
INTJf. Two topics combined. "Torture and pain" and "cats"
Part of it was done with my off hand.
It's monday
Zoo, 2 free model (I forgot to post last week's)
INTJf: Movie Stars.
Reworking a poster for the [ur;=http://www.doctormacro1.info/Images/Posters/O/Poster%20-%20Ocean%27s%2011_01.jpg]original Ocean's 11[/url]
General silliness, some parts work better than others.
INTJf: person with surprised expression.
Monday dump. Working on the Zoo project, even though we will no longer go to the zoo.
Free model. Everyone was impressed with my 8" x 24.5" sketchbook. I don't really see the point of the format, but it was on clearance![]()
No. 3 from portrait class.
Juggling chainsaws.
More of James. This time with the new soft pastels I just bought, and a scrap of mounting board, thus the unusual format.
In the finest Murphy's law tradition, the box of pastels spilled it's contents inside my bag, and several sticks shattered on the floor![]()
Event poster for Style and Concepts. I chose a made up rave in a made up club for mine.
Some interesting comments while I worked on this one![]()
zoo stuff
Early morning doodle
Zoo update.
Guess Tardino was right about drawing larger. Can't believe I feel into that trap.
Forward and onward!
James in watercolor, as well as a color concept project I forgot to scan.
Modulation - greyscale, line, cools and warms.
INTJf: 7 sins
Zooness, finals due Monday.![]()

Right. Mythology art project - The search for immortality/eternal youth.
The idea was for it to look like plastic surgery at first glance, while speaking about rebuilding cities at second glance.
Really like the 7 Sins image.
Fun movement and expressiveness.
Your figures are getting a lot better too!
But I was looking at some of your sketches, and while it's great to see you're putting in construction lines, a few of them seem a bit stiff like the masky knife holding figure two posts back. It would be neat to see some of the fluidity and motion of the Sin sketches in your figure drawing. Maybe put in motion guides first to really get the movement and balance of the figure?
I've posted a really badly done example of what I'm trying to talk about (and perhaps failing miserably)
The other key is to know where the weight is or, if in motion, where it's going. And to be honest...these are tips I often forget myself. But they do tend to be usefulish.
Good luck. post more!
Post 370 I somehow missed, but I was wondering, has that been updated?Nice piece.
Else post 417 feels and design I totally dig. Some kind of sci-fi/futuristics.
I forget those things all the time, but a basic check list
helps a lot in my end.
Post 418
(Quick glance, so, x2 check)
-check thigh proportions. I'd probably increase the left thigh a tiny bit.
-Inner right thigh/knee protrudes too much?
-x2 on those shin bones or the width of the lower leg.
-The angle/lengths of her arms relative to the upper body proportions.
(I really need to study human proportions from live models, but they still scare the crap out of me.) Hope all's been cool in your end.
