KingKostas: thanks thanks, let's keep up yeah
Anthis: lo thanks, i'm jealous of your work too xD ! for the characters, thanks for the notice, will propably choose the round guy as a their commander or boss , hope it wont conflict with the angular style. perhaps i'll soften them up.
sure i have thaught for legs, but it's was not clear in the drawing, after coloring,
KungFoowiz: thanks thanksi have many comments to choose one

Congrats on the character design job mate, love the style and details and the different facial expressionswell deserved!
Be careful though, some of them look a little unbalanced, especially the bottom two, I think the ground shadow helps but there's something a little off about their feet positions.
Awesome work man, I think Delia is my favourite =) I like pancakes too =)
eclipse: thanks dude, i feel weird
Angel: took notethanks
Kungfoowiz: thank you dude, you're doing great too
i went to draw on location prepared all the things to do watercolor.... then forgot the watercolor box
i stay cool and come back home with one crappy penciling

congrats on the job mate!!! really good designs with nice expressions. In the landscape maybe even with the pencil you could relax even more and simply mark huge masses of tones, starting from the big masses and going toward the smaller ones, instead of going the descriptive way. However you say that you were gonna do this in watercolor so i think its ok. The trees have this kind of toning i talk about, while the buildings dont have it. Keep up the good work !!!

Kingkostas: it's like you've been therei wasn't very relaxed doing that drawing (and more stressed doing the buildings)
done other drawings on location
it was a rainy day and even i was under cover, a drop landed where i mix colors and splashed the paper
i continued coloring a bit but felt it was going in bad direction and should stop
maybe i was wrong and should continued but my fringers were freezing

Another character to choose (she's suppsoed to be heroine of adventure, and origine from south algeria )

very cool sketchbook man, love the comics and character designs.
Nice work dude, for watercolour you can try working from light to darker shades, progressively building to the darker shades. Also working from back to foreground to warm up to your values.
Setherial: hey, thanks for passing by, appreciate
Kungfoowiz: back to foreground: cool didn't know that. will try it (i'm still far from confident in watercolor)
a little sketch on location.

Beautiful portrait zou
p.s, a friend of mine posted this concept on facebook and it reminded me of your design, thought you'd like to see too...
yo mate!! Very nice. Love the door, it seems you got the values better in that one. Mostly concern yourself with what is in shadow and what is in light and make the difference visible [unless diffused light on a cloudy day or something which needs work with ambient occlusion]
heheh yep the digi portrait is great!!!
lets keep up mate!!!

more location drawings

i just throwed brush strokes everywhere (blur brushes)

Love your traditonal drawings, those horse sketches are awesome! Keep it up your improving fast
Hello mateee!!! Love these location drawings!!! In this last piece, since you went with brushtrokes etc, i would suggest either to paint all the lines or not use line drawing at all. Painting is more painting shapes rather than describing them with individual lines. However i think its a nice change from your usual stuff.
Lets keep up!!!

Hey zou! I agree, the location drawings are great! Really good attention to detail, and nice hinting at textures without drawing them out completely. Also your watercolours are looking good. You and Angela have both got a good watercolour thing going on. I think your colours in general are looking solid lately.![]()
Oooo. your location stuff looks tasty.. For your robot push some highlights on it dude, maybe create a soft light layer and really burn them out with a light value.. Coools =)
Really enjoy the outdoor drawings. Love the architecture. Seems you're using watercolours or something too. Have you tried grey markers? Seems like a useful way to add quick value to this type of drawing. Though I must say I like them as line drawings too.
I think the strength of those secondary characters is how far you are going with the design. Those facial shapes really differ. It's also just as if your painting method changes accordingly. Very nice character work.
I'm never quite sure which of these are for your actual job, and which are for practise. Do you have a 'normal' day to day job and do artwork on the side?
Lastly, I enjoy seeing that last robot sketch. Think you should do that more often. Just go for it and experiment some.

Hai: glad to see you back and thanks for the words of encouragements
kungfoowiz: will do if i continue this one
Anthis:thanks for the tip. i do have some grey markers, but since i can't find them here, i'm always very tipsy to use them :p
these were for practice. for the job i'm doing freelance (graphic, 3D , illustrations) and on the side i draw comics ( i try at least !)
