O_o Awesome as usual.
Some crits:
Seems that the green guys right "eyebrow" (from our perspective) is too big if you compare it with the other one.
Keep rockin![]()

that's one of the most, i don't know... humanized portraits of superman i think i've ever seen. it retains his superhero nature but makes him look like more of a real person, gives the piece some interesting depth. also very nice work on the psychadelic background, hard to get a handle on colors like that without overpowering the rest of the piece. so yeah, the usual good stuff we expect from you![]()
me?![]()
luv ya jon
I agree with Gauss...I couldn't figure out what it was that I really liked about this Superman, but I think he nailed it. There's a realness...a down to earthness in his expression and features. But it still retains a strength. Diggin' it.
Geez. I just can't help but, to post!!!!! ARGGGGGG!!!
THIS IS FATTY BOOM BATTY!!!!!!
I'm in love!

Good question who is the guy in the back....
Jon i also didn't have the chance to say bye..
it was fun chatting and drinking wit you man....hopefully the next US one we'll talk again....
Captain Brittain?
Ooo.. style points for jon. Nicely done.
Re: who's the guy in the back?: Sirius Black!!![]()
Great pic as always, Jon. Right-click-save (computer shudders under the weight of saved files...)
Cheers,

Awesome dude. Was this personal work by any chance?
Anyway - I aspire to paint form with chunks of color, and Martians face/neck are a specific example of your skill in this.
I'd have to agree with the eyebrow perspective issue raised earlier, but aside from that I totally dig it. Especially the 60's psychadelia behind superheroes (and the fact that Superman isn't bursting out of his costume), yay!
is it "dream" from th comic Sandman?

SWEET!! I dont usually like superman, but the way you've done him he doesnt look like a goody two shoes, on the contrary...he's cool....human.
Really nice!!!![]()
NIC
p.s.- who IS that guy in the back?
i think it is lobo.
nice work. and as far as the realistic look of superheroes, i'm a big fan of that too. much like alex ross, but not too soft.
love it. what's going on in the background?
Hey dog. . . . did you see the size of that chicken?!
Superman's armpit is perfect. (Jon you know what I'm talking about.)
Who did you use for reference on Superman body?...wink.
You nailed it Jon. I stared at this all day.
Luv ya
Dan
so nice jon
love the light![]()
everyone else is doing it
I love you.
ha! lobo it is!
gaus, those were some of the nicest words i have read, thanks.

"i like you dotty, liiike." pee wee herman
wow, i really like supermans hand. sooo pretty. hey, where are the detail shots??
Jon,
Looks like you had fun with this piece. Nice and different.

That is so cool, Lobo in the Justice league. That was one of the names that crossed my mind, but I couldn't believe that lobo would mix with the justice league. Its like oil and water. But you managed to do it Jon. I'm convinced.
If I'm not mistaken, and I might be, there is a scar down Superman's face. That's cool, and if not, still cool. Truly great work!

Thanks for the detail shots, Jon.
I think Superman looks so great and humanized because of the sensitivity about his mouth--great job.
emily
haha, thanks for the detail shots jon, especially the hand![]()
