pbgse: Thank you!
mentler :Always appreciate dem bones
Carnifex : Oh, where oh where is my octopus helmet for that one?Someone else mentioned that she seems kinda frigid, which makes sense becuse I totally drew her first and didn't intend to stick in another character till the last second. I dunno, I think he deserves better anyway.
Diphallia Thank you!
Molly : Thanks babe, miss you! Eat a Cadbury's egg for me!
Earendil : Arigato gozai mas :geek:
Ok, so here's what I ended up with for that book. Dos Santos pointed out a problem with the BG texture near the Princess's hair, which I corrected for the print version but other than that, this is how they'll be for the book! I also included a rare ACTUAL SKETCH in here, I don't usually sketch before I jump into Illustrator but I don't really reccommend doing that
Thank you for looking guys, much love. PS, I included a random Pony sketch because I haven't drawn the buggers in ages.
Great stuff as always, Steph! I didn't get a chance to crit the Princess WIP, but luckily the final version fixed everything that bugged me about the WIP (mostly the feet). Love the Pauper's freckles, very cute!
Eric
Yeesh, I love it all!! Great work!
Flat rocks!
At least Icarus tried!

Your work puts a smile on my face =D I quite like your old semi-realistic stuff too. But as you say, realism isn't everything. Your newer works have a lot of personality. Lovin' it.
You know what? You're one of the artists I have the most in my reference and inspiration folder! I LOVE your work!![]()

You are a fresh breeze to art!! Thanks for you, Kelly
Oooh, we're long overdue for an art dump! But first, in reverse order:
kelly x: Thanks babe! I've got to get cracking on your special pin-ups this month ^_^
Clochette: For serious?! I saw you SB and now I must subscribe, I'm honored you would say that about me ^_^;
PerinGalitte: Thank you very much!
kev ferrara: Thank you, and LONG LIVE FLAT!!! ...as a girl, I never thought I would say that.
0kelvin: Thanks hon, glad you approve
OK, so here's what I've got for now - A Valentine for my special someone, based off of a They Might Be Giants Song, some studies from a burlesque life drawing session (OMG I WANT PASTIES!), a doodle of a really awesome 10 year old girl who was sitting next to me on a flight to Chicago, and some REJECTED ARTZ! This one was for a rejected costume design.
OH! So one of the games I was the art lead for is due out in a few months and they released the box art. I didn't technically illustrate the box but the designer DID use all of my illustrator assets that I designed for the game itself and threw gradients and sparkles on them. Gradients and sparkles are like the lens flares of girl's marketingAnyway, the title character is shamelessly based off of... me... and the cat is my roomie's cat, Jackson Brownpaws. I have other friends hidden in this game too
Thank you for looking guys!![]()

God... soo cute.... I can't.... AHHHHHHHH! *Dies*![]()
I love your work! It never fails to put a smile on my face. This sketchbook is where I go instead of the cheer me up thread. The 10 year old girl really is awesome.
Squee! Those are awesome!
Are the life drawing ones from brushpens? those are sweet.
http://conceptart.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1207347186 that one is absolutely adorable! pwns the pillsbury doughboy!
All sorts of great stuff in that last post! I love the Birdhouse in Your Soul one, it's very sweet. The puffy marshmallow cloud guys are great too.
Eric
just discovered this thread, fabulous
Jake: Thanks dude, and also for the birthday well-wishes. I think you're a-ok
EvilBunny: Haha, thank you! I'm a regular fan of the cheer me up thread so I take that as a huge compliment
Dished: Thanks hon, I'm so sorry I haven't been able to talk much on AIM ._. Crazy times have come to pass. Those aren't brush pens, I think it was sepia microns with red watercolors. I did use a water brush pen for the watercolors though, I forget how much I neglect shadows in my work!
Eric: Thank you! I wasn't much into TMBG outside of what I saw on Tiny Toons back in the day, but this song really grew on me
Kravenous: Thank you!!
Hmm. So just a quickie. Things took a dramatic turn this week in matters of the heart and I find myself in this position. This is for April's "Steph o' the Month" series (I missed March but will fix that very soon). If you're not familiar with I Ching, which I wasn't until I met someone special, the lines won't make sense but it's the hexagram for "Nourishment". It has a lot of meaning to me now and will as time passes.
Miss you.
Great digital improvements to the original sketches, I really like what you come up with! Keep'em coming!

Yo,
This is well past due, but I heard you had some rough times a bit ago and seeing your latest piece here reminded me. Hope all is looking up. Oh, and your sketchbook thread rocks hard.

Pigeonkill: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the tut!

sketchling : You're so welcome Kim, and thank you for the kind wordsI miss your lot halfway across the world!
OmertA: Thank you SO much!
Dished: Grats on the job! I hope there's an employee discount, I can't wait to see what you whip out when you increase your sketch arsenal.
Jason Snair; Thanks Jason! She was a real character, I wish I were half as cool as she was when I was 10.
Wasker: Dude, you hit the nail on the head - I was directed in THOSE EXACT WORDS for the set! Hahaha!!!
Nadiamoon : Thanks Nadia! I will be working in the city starting in June, it would be great to catch up with you again!
Moftah: Thank you!
johanson: *hugs* Thanks Andrew, I hope your move went well last weekend! I am doing a lot better since that last emo portrait, things are looking better in every area of my life, literally. Just had to get beyond a lengthy project and step back from all the stress. I would love to head over the mountains this summer to see you two, after SDCC I will figure out my schedule!
FactorZero : Thank you!!
Matthew Forte: Thanks so much!
Ok, a couple of measly WIPs here - I have to hunker down to make art for my SDCC booklet that IS NOT of myself, so these will hopefully be the last self po's for a while as I try desperately to diversify
So the first one hasn't been worked on in a couple weeks, but it's based off of a trip to Big Sur in March (loosely... heh.) I got some good crits on it in the crit forum but will welcome any more here as I will hopefully be knocking off the final next week.
The second is May's self po'. Life is looking better. Oh lordy, is it ever.![]()
Your illustration style is great in its simplicity.
Thank you for putting your art out here for all of us to see.
