All of these topics would consist of a creature carved out of rock or stone that serve as being anything from an idol statue of worship to something to scare away unwanted guests.

well, i had an IDM idea and nowhere to put it, so this'll have to do. ha.
-an individually/2man team artillery device, maybe a mobile heavy rocket launcher or small cannon. somewhat of a big weapon idea for a game, futuristic or whatever.

Nighthob: Hah! If he keeps stuffing his face like that, soon there won't be any rocks left here either!

(Nighthob complains to the little man. As he starts to walk away, the little man grabs him.)

Nighthob, this could be serious!

Rockbiter, what you have told us is also occurring where I live in the west ! A strange sort of Nothing is destroying everything.

This idea of something that was so devasting that you couldn't give it name, and it was something that did't had a word to desrcibe it dazzeld my mind for months when i was a little kid and I read the book for the first time.

The book got some nice drawings aswell, the first letter of every chapter was a weird letter with a drawing of the main event in the chapter.

I got the idea for this after looking at Matt's Olifactori race for the Shit eaters:

How about something from existing science fiction or fantasy stories? I guess this would be a little more of a structured C.O.W. in that it would need a creative brief like the Evil Supply Creature.

For example, we could do something from Larry Niven's Ringworld Series, like the Kzin, Pierson Puppeteers or a Pak Protector. Of course, it doesn't have to be from Niven's work - it could be any author.

for industrial design it could be a martian tripod. But something based on existing fiction sounds fun, or based on a few sentences from a story (lovecraft perhaps)

we could choose a creature from The Garden of the Earthly Delights by Bosch and redesign it, it could be any one of them, taking it out of its context and just recreating it the way we see it.

4- personal levitation machine/equipment
5- a. power plant that runs off of lava

This is kinda off topic, but I guess that's the point. Anyway,

Would anyone be interested in a Character of the Week activity?

I was thinking about it the other day, and the COW turns out some really cool ideas, but I'm horrible at drawing creatures for the most part. The human form, however is something that I'm both better at, and more interested in.

I dunno, I'd be interested to hear some more senior member's feedback on it.
