I wanted to start a new thread dealing with my artwork because I wasn't quite happpy with some of my earlier attempts and felt the need to better control where I posted them. I hope you all enjoy and I welcome comments and critique's, its the only way I learn.

This is a sketch of an orbital platform. I wanted to see if I could actually get a design that was in my head on to paper and this is what attempt number 3 came up to:


After looking at some of Mark Millar's and Michael Turner's artwork, I wanted to see if I could practice some of the basic's or just get a feel of getting to paper what I see:


This is my practice work on a dropship for the story I want to develop. I kept it basic for now while I practice more on the basic's:


This is the sketch I did for the creature thread, my attempts at developing a enemy for my storyline. This for now is currently serving as the baseline for what may come:


This is a tribute picture I want to do in the future. I remember this concept from an earlier Punisher comic called Punisher Armory. This is based off of one of the pages:

Thanks Heroic. The dropship is still a very much work in progress because I keep thinking that it looks like the Pelican from the Halo series. I wanted to post some a sketch of two starships that are part of the storyline. The top one is a frigate class the bottom one is a corvette class ship:



Now for a newbie question, for digital painting, which is better Photoshop or Painter. I know Photoshop since I've used it for years doing images for models, but I've never tried painter and I am thinking of keeping the sketches loose and the painting them digitally... suggestions anyone?

I wanted to take the time to just post some random stuff that I ahd the chance to work on. Nothing big or fancy, just had a sudden bout of inspiration and the chance to actual put pencil to paper. For now it is all in free hand, once I have what I like, I will make a more detailed look.

Dropship and starship designs. Before making a 3 dimensional look I prefer to get a side profile so I know what elements I want to add, hence the side profiles only.

Thank you. Those first postings were direct links before the implemented the attachment manager. I will more or less scratch this and start all over again. Hopefully the new stuff will be better on the eyes.
