you actually hold down "shift" for straight horizontal or verticle lines.
to make a straght diagonal, you left click the mouse at one point, then hold down shift and then left click the where you want the other end of the line to be.

If you are serious about drawing, you should also spend time time to practise drawing straight lines freehand. It is a basic skill that artists should try to master.

Thx very much. I can draw straight lines freehand, but not with a wacom
