    Comic book projects

    Hello everyone,

My name is Renaud Delattaignant and i'm a french graphist.
I would like to see comic books projects in this thread, so i'm starting...

I was an animator at Vivendi-Universal interactive ("Adiboo" educational games) and afterwhile a free-lance illustrator, mostly for kid's books. At present time, i am an all-purpose Lead graphist in the french lottery ( "La Française des Jeux"). I mostly design gambling games (backgrounds, characters, animations...). I'd like to publish my first comic book, so i'm trying to find an editor.
The name of the project is "Chien-Chien le Chien, Mutant en emporte le Vent". The name of the dog-hero could be translated as "DoggyDog the Dog". The title of the comic is difficult to translate, because it is a wordgame with the french title of the movie "Gone with the Wind".
I mailed my comic book project to editors and i am waiting for answers. I actually sent 12 folders and had, at the moment, 4 negative answers (but i keep the faith!).
Hope you'll enjoy and i'm waiting for your comments and posts.

    Renaud.

This Story was published here in Ohio a couple years ago.

I have an online comic book I have been slowly working on for years now.

    http://www.alternateversion.com/sketch/avc_index.php

Since I started school in 2002 it has been a real headache to get it done.

My book is about two children who have the power to destroy or save the world and all the forces around them trying to harness it. The first three issues are available to read through the above link.

Is there any of the stuff from your book online to see? I mean I really dont know how much to say from a couple lines of concept on it...

Why can't i sometimes post attachments?

I don't know why, in the posting rules, sometimes i have the "you may not post attachments" sentence, and sometimes no.
    I must find out....Meanwhile i can't post my drawings....
    Anybody could help, please?

    Renaud.

    You've been working hard, man!

    Hi AjaxSerix,

You've really been working hard... I understand it was becoming a burden to go on with this, having an another work to comply with and all....

But you seem to be full of passion for drawing and comic books : one day you will continue this one or (more probably) start another one...

    Thank you for posting here,

    Renaud.

I cant read it but it looks real fun.

I like the style of the pages a lot. Lots of energy and bright colors.

as far as my book I am working on finishing up the 4th issue just coloring and letters to go... Its a slow process but it doesnt stop...

    Hi,
Thank you so much for your nice comment.
The character design drawings are hand drawn. The coloured ones are digitally painted with photoshop over scanned drawings.

    See ya,

    Renaud.
