Dude I told you already, dont get discouraged, the animation guy was being an asshole not wanting to look at your sb!
Keep at it! The life drawings keep getting better and better, and so does your line and value work! Dig the sp's in this update.
You haven't done PS stuff in a while, come on man, get back into colour, too!

I agree...don't give in, just keep at it...and try to stay loose, and achieve a quality of line. Once you get the hang of it you'll feel so relieved you put in all that effort. [And especially don't listen to anyone who just blazes you...always strive to understand why someone crits your work, and listen to what they have to say...but most of all understand that there is only you who knows how you can draw, and how you can move forward!] Jeez I sound like Yoda

Here's something I found today and is worth checking out [if you haven't already]... http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=30205

Some good exercises to try are what Feng does...just draw lines and circles freehand. Dot...dot...then connect the dots. Also just draw stick figures [in proportion obviously] but in differing gestures or poses....then begin filling them out. Anything to move you towards that understanding. Because like all artists you are trying to get to that point when it all becomes instinctual...second nature...and that doesn't come unless you draw and learn...draw and learn...draw and learn. Once in awhile take a step back and critique what you have done, try to find what isn't working and then learn how to develop that, then move on. But keep practicing the new things you learn and don't relax into thinking you know how to do that now....you always need to practice, you always need to ask why something works...or why something isn't working. Trust me, when you see all this cool stuff, and amazing artwork...don't think for a minute that these people don't begin a drawing without worrying, or have times were they just can't get it and so-on. Because all of those artists out there suffer just the same as everyone else. If someone could just do a shit hot pic from scratch with no warm up, no prior involvement, and have it there ding dang do...they must be either a robot, or not normal [no disrespect to Autistic sauvant or anyone else who can do this but may have some social disorder etc]. A couple of weeks ago I asked some advice from a professional designer about digital painting...his stuff was amazing, and in amongst all his valuable advice was a sentence which read...'Keep drawing because there isn't a day goes by where I'm sat sweating infront of a piece of paper wondering how the hell to draw, or half way through something and thinking this just doesn't look right'. Sound advice, it re-assured me as I think that way everytime I pick up a pencil

Frank Frazetta has some great stuff you could look at his gestures, especially B/W...I think you kind find most ofhis pics on the net now [but would recommend anyone to buy at least one of his books].

Again, awesome stuff...keep it up. And take pride in the fact that all these great people are giving you advice.

Don't be TENSE!! Be LOOSE and Flowing...RELAX and let the pencil just flow around the page, don't force yourself to draw, it should be something you do in a relaxed frame of mind. You'll acheive more being relaxed.

Good stuff HEROIC, these studies are comming along nice
Keep an eye for the overall proportions, sometimes the features are too short or the head too big, like in scan00462iq.jpg, the legs are kinda short.
But overall very nice! you're doing great! I really like scan00654ju.jpg for example. Just watch those proportions

    Cheers, keep it up

Heroic, thx for visiting my SB man. Your advices werent harsh at all, I think people need those type of advices. I can see fast progress in your SB, the church is cool, n the idea of the guy drawing with a gun pointing on his head is wicked (dunno if is you or not ).

Yeah, Ive just been doing some studies and sketches from photos, I should do some life drawing. Maybe when I go back home, cause now im in UK, and is damn freezing here!

Ill keep an eye on your thread.8)

I would suggest going back to the basics, it's extremely important that you study perspective, Niccolaides' "The natural way to draw" may also be helpful. It's important that you have several ways to analyze a subject, right now these all look like very fast copies. What matters is understanding what you draw, not line quality or how you hold your pencil. I'll post a link to some Glenn Villpu exercises later, right now my computer's going stupid slow.

shit your right it has been loooong since I checked by, good greif you've improved! Do you see that line change only on your last page - compare with the first one!
A tip, that I'm after at the moment as well, there's a book by Taschen called Illustration Now! it's around 40€ - but I'm sure it's worth it - to see what the pros are doing at the moment - not that you can't see it here on the website anyway, but it inspires me for line quality and image settings...
bring it on - you're getting where!

the exercises are very consistant, and seem to be paying off in the long run. your pages of various objects is where i would take some attention to. the perspective of the objects on the floor are way off, to where they look flat and with out a 3-d form (video game controller, shair, etc...) try setting up a measured guideline, and pinpointing everything by three seperatepoints against that line, regardless of where the subject is on the paper. this should help you get that extra body you want for proper shading and to make your objects seem more real. cheers and look forward to seeing your future endeavors.

This batch looks great, I really like the last life drawing you did.
Why haven't you scanned/posted the stuff from yesterday? You did some great lifedrawing then, too.
I also like what you did in the last update, the hatching following the form looks good!

Heey! Good update, i like the way you were handling the ballpoint pen.
The second one is my favorite, you got a lot of motion and weight going on there!
You had better come to the sketch group tomorrow, you hear?

Oh, and the guy in the first drawing, his thigh is too short.

    Yes!! Finally you've updated!

Man, Im so proud of seeing all the drive, work and learning youve been doing in person. You've come a long way, really tightened up, gotten serious and are producing some downright awesome work.
I know youve got a lot more youre not posting dude, subway sketches? That one of your room? Come on man, dont hold back!
As I told you, your hatching is really improving. Right now, especially with the marker and pen ones, make sure you follow the shape of the form along with the hatching to create more volume. You're paying attention to the value, but not the form that causes it.

Hopefully this means more regular updates from you, Im looking forward to that!
