Done for today...Man...that girl looks like crap. Need to work more on color!!!
BAKLANG PALAKA!!!???? bwahehehe
Good use of complements on the last one, Pat!
But ref the girl holding the way she holds a gun, it looks odd.
Cheers, dude!
Anu na plano mo?
A new character.
Hey Pat!
Loads of stuff again,
I like #119, nice sketches and colors. There's a lot of interesting shapes among those character sketches too. Nice job on the soldier, think the legs are a little flat and shapeless though (or just unfinished?)
#120-bit blurry but perhaps intended. Works for the giant though, I like how you pushed the spikes out with a solid brush.
#120- I feel you lost some of the proportions (like the girls' arms). Like the clean shading
#122- Can't see much wrong with the girl (aside from holding the gun perhaps), I find the lighting convincing. I can really see where you wanted the sharp, and smooth edges.
#126- More than with the other characters, you're using the line weight (I think). I like the linework, his right arm seems a bit off though.
Nice textures in the background btw, any specific tricks on acquiring those? Some of them look like paper of some sort.
Nice going! missing your strong pencils now that you've got a tablet though..heh

I was inspired by the guys over at Drawingboard.org to do these portraits of the lovely Audrey Hepburn.
Enjoy!
Anthis: Thanks for the crits man! Much Appreciated.
The texture is just a paper texture I downloaded. I got the idea from another artist. Nothing special. I was just trying out stuff with PS. I really like the effect though.
I'm afraid I can't scan my pencils cuz my scanner is not compatible with this new laptop I'm using...It sucks so bad. I'm just glad to own a Wacom.![]()

This one of Natalie Portman. I initially wanted a caricature but for some reason I ended up doing a slightly more realistic depiction close to the ref I used. All in all it was good fun and practice.
The Drawingboard guys are now caricaturing Tommy Lee Jones. I thought I'd contribute.
wow Pat! Husay mag caricatures
The Heps are beautiful..keep at itdude.
The Values are working nicely.
Morph mo pa, mas enjoy tignan yung ganun, gayahin kita![]()
Meduza- Thanks! Subukan mo mag caricature masaya rin hehe
Dimagyan- Thanks, man!
I decided to do some speedpaints based on references. I tried to get the colors as accurate as I can. It's really hard though.
Just some random shite for the day.

Some fun for today.
Some kind of monster...
Doggy poo. Had a bit of a struggle with this one cuz of all the fur.
This is Mango.
Forest lights...Trying my hand at doing a more finished environment.
Hey Dizon,
Time for comments now that christmas and all that is over. Happy new year.
First Hepburn is looking great. Nice values, like the lips and surrounding features most. Think the eyes are a bit flat by themselves. Nice caricatures, recognized tommy lee jones right away. He has a very distinct face though. I think you could use some sharp lines in some of the faces. Not sure how that would work with a tablet and pen settings and all that though. I just read ''Tone is form, line is definition'' the other day in one of Andrew Loomis´ books. Not sure if I got it right though.
Nice speedpaints, I should totally do that more often too. Good practice. Nice character, seems like you´re getting more control of the tablet.
You´ve got some nice PS sketches there. Are those custom brushes or textured brushes or something? Or just some kind of patterns. Especially the first piece in #137.
I dislike dogs but nice going on the fur. Especially with the 2nd dog.
Short comment doesn´t quite do justice to the body of work, but I like your studies. Keep it up, the textures are getting nice and you seem to get more accurate. You should try the daily sketch group someday. And get your scanner back online...

lol, reading Anthis' post I found that everything I was gonna say had been said already. I was gonna say that I don't like dogs, but that I like the dog paintings too!
Oh, and do you have this in a higher resolution by any chance? I would totally dig having that as my desktop background.
Anthis- Thanks, mate. I appreciate your crits.
Hai- Glad you like the dogs even though you don't really like 'em hahaha. By the way, I already deleted the psd file for the image you're talking about. That measly jpg is all I have. Sorry!
Just a bunch of thumbnails.....I hope some of these could be of some use someday haha.

Work-in-prog
Finished.
work in prog
Like I said in my comment on doodlebugs, I think you could make the background mountains darker to set it apart from the architecture. Gotta say though, these latest wips of yours are really fresh. Are they for something, or just for fun?
Hai- Thank you! I've actually thought about that but wasn't sure how I'd go about it. Now that you've said it, I'll give it a go and see how it turns out. These are for fun because I've been slacking off lately. And for portfolio inclusion too.
Here's an update of the last post.
