    Spending time on a drawing

I have a problem of not spending enough time on a drawing. I draw too fast for my skill level, which means my drawings don't turn out too well and then my confidence goes down, which makes me draw less. Does anyone have any tips on how to get myself to spend more time on my drawings?

I have that problem in Life Drawing class. My teacher told me to double check each line, make sure I had the right angle and then draw it. Basically doubles the amount of time yuou're using.

My life drawing teacher always got on me about that also. Although he said, the speed at which you put a line down isn't really going to change... it's all in the speed at which you observe before you put that line down which counts.
Try drawing with your non dominant hand a little.
