I made the cow skull still life my desktop background. Unbelievable sensitivity man, I love it. It gave me renewed inspiration to work even more on the oil painting i've been doing of a cow skull. Hopefully I can achieve some of the same subtleties.

I'm extremely interested to hear how things have been going in San Fran, I'm still hoping to be able to get out there this summer for a couple of weeks. Maybe you could hook me up with some advice on how to go about it? I'm gonna have a bunch of new work online real soon, just got everything scanned for my printed portfolio yesterday, so the web is next.

Hope things are kicking ass out in Cali, mang, and I hope to hear from ya.

this is some top notch stuff dude!
wow... now i really need to take it to the next level to even have a chance!!... shit...

one crit though, the designs are alittle weak, i mean, sure, they are sketches and all so i should just probably shut up, but alot of the designs is like "wow, this shit is dope, but...what does it do?" hmm, i dont really know what im saying here but i thought of something in the lines of "ínstant understanding of the design"... i dont know. i can just talk pirate language and you probably understand me more than this stupid ramble..

anyways, you kicked me in the nuts here, really skilled technique and very good presentation of the subject at hand....

    i dont know...dont hate me

    cheers!

It's always a pleasure browsing through your SB. So much to see and drool over! I'm not sure if this post will get through (hopefully it does) because I'm getting this weird 'your IP address has been banned from Conceptart.org" message. Hope to see more, dude.

God.... damn.... Steak. Your sketchbook is soooo solid. I don't even know where to begin. You've got great pen line drawings. Great pencils. Great toned paper stuff. I love the moleskine montages. (I have one but it's hard for me to draw so small. hehe).
I'm definitely inspired. Thanks so much for the huge update.

    arghmisfit: thanks G
Dominie: Thanks Kyler, it's been too long man. We're both busy mofo's these days.. I'll send you a message on myspace soz we can catch up and sheeeiiiit. Keep kicking everyones ass at ringling.
hurricane: ehhhh, yea there just sketches. Engineering a purpose into the tech i draw is something i struggle with and strive for each time I draw it out. Ideally I'd like to understand how a piece of equipment or machinery works and for that reason I try and keep up with new technologies or science in general. Alas as a concept artist you have to come up with this shit on the spot so the trick is to make it look like the pieces all have purpose without spending all day doing blueprints. I'm also just interested in the esthetics of forms driven by function so when i did the one page of just tech stuff I was studying just that. If you'd care to clarify what you mean I'd like to discuss this further. Don't worry Hurricane, I don't have any hateorade for you, crits are good, just explain a little more and I'll understand what you mean. thanks
    Hide:
    Strangealchemist: thanks homes
