Level 8 Gladiator: Thracian
we need more colour variation and some better shading, personally i like the pencil version alot better then the coloured one
I really like this picture. love the sketch of it to. one thing I dont really care for though is a puggy nose.she would look better with a different anime nose. its starting to look like a boy

Evil: Whats up? Thanks for the critique... Hey, got any suggestions of what I should add man? I'm blank now. hehe...
Sevencrows: Whats up dude? how's it going? Thanks for liking the picture. Yah, you're right... I tend to lean back to anime, as much as I try so hard to not to. Kay, im gonna rework on the nose and I'll post it again so we can see the dfference between the two.
I used to do anime, but it was killing my work and I had to break away from it. You eventually will find a way to do so as well. The sketch does look a lot nicer than the color peice. You seemed to have lost drawing when you painted over it. You need more dimension in your character, things are looking too flat.
Greg
Hey greg, whats up?
Thanks for the comments and for pointing out the mistakes. I'm gonna practice more and eventually have an eye for coloring.
Man, im so glad for being a member of Concept Art. hehe.
Study figure proportions. There are a lot of inconsistancies in this figure- the arms are too long, as well as the neck. Once you get down the basics you can start to stylize. I get the feeling you're faking- and no amount of good coloring can save a weak drawing. The head and face have proportional rules as well. You're not thinking in terms of scuplting- of the three-dimensional aspects of the figure. The head has hills and valleys, as one friend put it. Look at life- learn to draw real people first. To draw anime style? I'd suggest looking at good figure sculpts. When drawing a cropped figure, you have to know what the unseen parts are doing. I can't really see how she's standing/leaning. In regards to your coloring, you've got to think about directed light and the shadows and reflections that result, for starters. Keep going- you're on the right trail!
Thanks Chuck for the comments, they were helpful to me.
Yah, I do life drawings, but it would seem that I have to study more from it so I can begin stylizing my own stuff without making any problems. I've been trying my best to stray away from anime lately, it seems that it still comes out here and there.
