Berzumbre has lived in the crypt of a hundred gates for millenia, despite his appearence he is noot a spider, but a giant insect. Those who dared to study him and returned to tell the tale say he is most likely an omnivore, eating roots most of the time, but jumping on any oppertunity to hunt, and with his ability to sense any movement in the stale air and his extreme agility he is quite a succesful hunter.
PS less then an an hour I suppose

I thought perhaps the best ancient guardian of a tomb would be spirit of the person buried within....

The texture pattern is clip art. I know, I know, but spending the hours necessary to get that nice arabian arabesque tile work would defeat the whole point of a quick and dirty daily sketch. Anyhow, this took me about 45 minutes in Painter IX.

Nike: cool pic, but I'm losing the sense of what's going on. It's a giant cobra, starting to rear, yes? The red shadows are a bit confusing to me. I almost thought that the hood was the mouth of some serpentine monster (the original sketch in the corner cleared that up nicely though.)
    Diluc: Nice massiveness. Very cool.
Hamsta: Like the bio-luminescent feel of the spider. Nasty.

If you don't run screaming simply because of her looks, she'll likely smite you with that thing she's carrying (god, I'm such a girl).

Hamsta, I see you improving all the time!
Swan, my hubby really likes yours!

sheeyat goran. great volumetric perspective. Nike the build up of your paintings remind me of Arthur Rackhams style. Nice work.

a few hours later i realised what a crop can do.

    alright, here we go:
nike: wouldn't like to meet your snake in the dark...not even in daylight!

    swan: lovely piece! good colors.

slimeydog: well, she'll never be a centerfold, but i guess, she doesn't give a shit!

goran: i love how that thing seems to appear out of the fog. and you see it, but still can't say how it really looks...

juan_cadillac: argh...is he following me? good work. a bit too bright in my eyes.

dementist: nice, just like theres little fellows in starwars!

pesten: wow! stunned by that one. i like the look in his blank eyes.

now mine. worked out not very...um...sketchy. i just had time, loved the topic and...well, you know!
a stone giant whit his cursed sword. he's damned to protect that tomb til the end of all days (gotta be pretty boring, i guess )
