    Rodrigo!

I agree with Xia, those hand studies are superb. And the full bodies from life are really great! Im sad to hear ya getting frustrated sometimes, I see so many great qualities in your art.

The body on the girl standing facing us is really nice....excellent shading and shadow work there!

Great job on the sketchbook, Rodrigo! I see you improving rapidly! Those studies really pay off in the long run. Its great to see another artist fond of drawing on comicbook paper. Drawing that big really helps growth, and you can really go in there and have fun on the details, like ya did on those cool cyborg drawings.

Keep up the great work, man!~~~JadeDragon

Why must scanner sizes be so damn standardized. The big ones are ridiculously expensive. Ahh well. I'm positive you'll put that new book to incredible use.

Everything is looking great. That includes the inky stuff. As you work with he ink stuff though, I'd consider shading the bodies a bit more strongly. Part of the fun of ink is strong etched-in-stone value shifts that you can't erase away, and at least a couple of the figures look like they could use some nice carefully applied darks. The one where she is hugging her knee is very good, but I think getting in some of the darks on her might have given her more depth.

I'm really loving the figure studies!

    whoa!!

luke- thanks a lot bro if u can catch me on msn il give ya the lowdown on scanning big pages...its a major pain in the ass sometimes though , scanning these was quite annoying so i took the lazy way out and didnt add a third section in the middle to get rid of the middle line.

jungsanchoe- thanks a lot man i really appreciate the kind words!!

thanks a lot burning eyes, dont worry man i sucked big time when i was 16...was too lazy back then!

thanks craig i agree ill work on that more its a shame the rendering suks so much on this new pic im posting tonite but ill have to work on it tomorow.

thanks Mike! thats really good to hear. I'll keep at it, probably need to do a bit more studies need to kick my myself in the ass a bit more to do those.

so anyways, after all those great comments it feels inadequate posting scribbles like this but i will be working harder tomorow hopefully.

    anyways
heres some shitty scribbles for tonite...

roughs for a comic page...not worried about technical aspects just wat i want
to convey in each panel. ill probably do abother few layouts on the right size paper before i start the final page (ill use a ruler and stuff, seriously
    )

hey thanks soja, i mite try that out soon.

heres another comic page layout i did.., still really messy but i think im happy with the angles the last panel looks pretty retarded im not too confident about that angle..seems a bit cramped...ill try and come up with some better ones.

I loving seeing the sequential stuff up here. I'm glad you posted the first rough as well, it's great seeing the evolution.

In case I haven't mentioned it, I love the shading you pulll off with those long clean pencil lines. Very nice.

    More!

Great stuff. You really have such a knack for those full lips. They're quite memorable.

Oh, and the nipple on the right in http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Ar...ticle10021.jpg Is it just me or is that thing really pointing skyward.
