Nice update. I see exactly what you did with implementing some "quality control" as you put it. And that you learned from it. I'm lookin forward to seeing more!

W0w!!! You are very strong with pencil rodrigo but how about trying some different media just so you have a wide range of capabilities? That'd be a good thing to do because you don't want to get into a comfort zone. Just a thought.
You render very well, but maybe take a bit more time before going in with the darker tones. Hope I don't come across as arrogant cause I really like your stuff!
your dedication to improving is inspiring Rodrigo. Keep it up man!
will it be wrong of me to scream UPDATE!!!!!!!!?
Fuck'n awesome work! Keep it up man!

hahah my good msn friend dirty c, for those who think hes a rambling maniac including me, hes talking about my high school results, where my percentile rank was 99.4 which is the top .06 of the state.
oh and if you all remember that high school major work i was working on for like 5 months, yeah i got 100 for that which was cool, putting me 4th in state out of 9000 or so. but meh, it doesnt mean anything if i dont continue art which i have to keep at it...
but yeah, i managed to work up the courage to face the sketchbook to draw again, ill be the 1st to admit their nothing but a start, didnt use any reference.

I'm not much of a drawer but it seems to me that if you are not satisfied with your work, in order to improve you need to draw more not less.
Anyway I really love your work (I signed up to CA just to subscribe to your thread) and i hope you wont take a long drawing break again anytime soon.. or i'll have to hit you.. hard..![]()
Congratz on the score bro. I'm proud of my lil' Rod! You're kickin' all sorts of arse these days, mate. Keep at it, ok?! You sound a bit tired and down but be encouraged! You're movin' along great!! The last ones are nice, man. I like how you handle the pelvis/thigh areas. Very solid rendering in there. Please post more often, ok!?!

hey bro,i think the most obvious problem in you work to me,is drawings the head to big and connections it the head and neck to the body.
apart from that..great!

wow these legstudies looks really interesting !!!!!
look I dont know why I love you I just do
You have been really productive lately, I specialy love the
female line studies, they look really hot![]()
Critic
I just thought that you might want to add more variety to the shape
and expresion of you mouths, some times I fell they look to static and similar,
most of the times you do very thick and full kinda lips, you could experiment
more in that area and on the overal emotion range of you caracters
I tell you this cause I fell I have the same problem, (Im trying to do a bigger
range of expresions as of late, not that Im doing it all that good tho) other than
that keep the goods coming, I cant get enough of your cool drawing style![]()

Hey that first one with the girl is very nice. Very nice experiment. Looksgood, she has nice eyes. Thumbs up.![]()
thanks foxoo much appreciated
got a mirror, did some hand studies...gonna do some more later...so good for learning

The hand studies are wicked, rod, really wicked. Keep that up and you'll have a supreme model of a hand in your head at all times. Tight.
thanks dirty c that is the plan man
lol badger do the voices in my head count? thanks man..
anywho, im going to continue these regular studies of my hand in the hope that i am more confident in drawing them from the imagination, because its always a hazy area for me. Same with the arm bones i think the key to learning it is the way the forearm bones twist and lock into the joints of wrist and humerus, but i still find it tough...tomorow i plan to do some more studies but also some imagination to balance it out..
these are from some drawings by bammes.
these are purely from the mirror looking at my left hand, trying to apply what i learnt in bammes studies
