This sketchbook blows. Don't listen to these people Rod, you suck donkey balls!![]()
I'm just kiddin' man! I'm lovin' the experimentation with different medias. Keep it up. Still wish we could get you to look at the form different overall though. It still looks so much like solid shapes and not carefully rendered. Hmm.... Like approach the drawing leaving the comicy style behind a bit. I think you're starting to but it's just in yoy so much, y'know? Keep up the great work though. It's coming.... I know it's coming!![]()
thanks a lot zebzfree man, ill keep it in mind for next time aye

Nice dude
I dont write here often but I watch every update. Nice to see you keep fighting.
thanx a lot everyone for the kind words of support!!

light is great on these ...
and I like how realistic they are ... much better than your usual comicbookstyle faces, that always have some stifness in them ... although they have been improving over the course of this sketchbook too.
Can't wait to see you do more of these and incorporate what you learn, in the comicbook faces !
Laterz !
I agree, your are making some serious progress here
really nice, this last SPs look a lot more fluid
and natural that any of your faces so far, keep
pushing it dude, your progression is nice and smuth

Rodrigo!
Those last few posts are awesome. I love what you are doing with your lighting and your rendering.
And those backgrounds....WHOO! Great perspective work there. Great to see you working on all sorts of techniques.
Keep up the kickass work, bud! I'll be back to see what you are up to...~~~JadeDragon
thanks a lot man im really happy to hear that!!

Good looking updates ::: one thing I noticed on the spine study is that it does not seem to have enough curvature :::: unfortunately the ref that we have for the spine for the most part is taken from dead resources and medical studies which never seem to have enough bend in the spine :::: the reason for this is mainly because they don't recreate the weight of the rest of the living body on it. Look at x-rays from living bodies to get a better idea of how much more curved the spine really is.
Also when visualizing the curve visualize the inside without the dorsal spines!
I haven't written in a bit, but I've been meaning to. I've been watching either way.
I'm looking at that last self portrait thing and I'm loving the planes. You have such a healthy way of handling your subjects. I have to work to beat that sort of thing into myself.
Everything is looking great. Oh, and I read that soccer causes brain damage over time through continual bonks on the head. So, no more soccer. ..then again, there's nothing wrong with a little brain damage. It works for me, at least.
More updates, please.
-Craig
Good work man.. your style and technique is coming along really nicely. You faces are getting much better. The only thing id like to see is maybe some environments and stuff.. your experiments withcolour are pretty good.
The only crit is with the School environment piece is that the perspective pieces are all very straight forward. Maybe try working on some close ups ones and some stuff at deeper angles not everything fading at 1 point in front of you.
Good work though keep it up.
thanks mentler i never even knew that you are right of course
thanks a lot craigman good to hear from u again! im glad ure watching its all i ask! oh and who says i dont have to work to beat that thing into myself either hmmm?
thanks phatandy its appreciated id work on environments if i had time, i really liek environments! ill keep your words in mind for the future
i am doing an A2 drawing as part of my major work, the left side is anatomy studies and the right side is self portraits, the sides are separated by a big spine that runs through the middle!
