Great update man. Everything looks good, here's a tip: I find it helpful to visualize the chest and pelvis as cubes like bridgman does at the front of his life drawing book, try laying them in first and go from there. Oh, and those hands are great! Keep practicing them, you'll get really good at em.

Dan: ah yeah man. I did some doodles, and they looked _better_ (not good) then the other based on that. Going to develop it further.

Anyway. Wasn´t feeling it today, but here it is, most are really bad/sloppy and I tried ink, the renderings are mostly done with derwent ivory black pencil.

so cheers to my to painting for the first time ever (if watercoloring egg when you are a little kid dosen´t count)

Keep fighting the good fight, profil! There's a certain degree of drawing necessary to root out problems, reading and looking at diagrams is great, but won't help you much if you don't try to apply them. You're on the right track, keep going!

Not much to comment on- I mean, you have some anatomy issues, specially with the head, but you know the only thing I can say- Study study study. DO lots of skulls, like... Was it Dished or LightKirtar? One of those two. And also, I think you have seen the hands I did in pen-

Just use straight lines- THink more aobut Angles than shapes, and think of a finger as 2 parallel lines that are x distance away from eachother. Then follow it over with shapes, then try and combine the two. Thats how I go through it in my mind.

Pixel is right about using straight lines, try to use them as much as possible. Curves can be deceptive, and they are rarely as curvy as you think. You're chances of getting proportions correct are increased by using them too. Also, if you're serious about painting, go here and buy "Alla Prima", probably the best book I own, and it's more help than I could possibly give you, worth EVERY PENNY.

Pixel dan: yeah I was aware of that, but it didn´t really acure or whatever to me... man Im tired whatever. Oh that book is too exepensive right now, got some things I gotta take care of (clothes, prague workshop etc) but I will get it when I can afford it

Im a lazy bum. I wake up at 2 pm, Im still tired though because I go to bed to late. So Im too lazy to do art, so I just sit around and doodle. Meh.
Tomorrow/today? I will do better art.

so here it is, the head drawings are from imagination, but everything else life. Yes I know the anatomy is fucked up on the head, but I doodled it and just wanted to render some shit. Yes Im a lazy shitfuck. But I will change that. School is coming so I need to change that.

god, not one head here is decent, but most are like... just awful. They could have jizz all over them and I couldn´t care less. they suckkkkkk

    bed time good night

I think you are oversizing the heads on the circle, and the jaws seem a bit to blockish, and not as round as the should be. Try also sketching a bit lighter, maybe, or something. Like the hands to- Lookin better everyday dude!

I recommend leaving the hair off of the heads until you understand what's underneath, try not to focus so much on details like the eyes/nostrils etc. as the construction and major planes. Keep going!

What Hurricane said! I see you're getting better at angles of the head.
You're getting bretty damn good with hands as well!
Good to see you getting aquainted (sp?) with paint as well! The value-studies look good.

    Keep 'em coming!

Thanks guys, your support means alot to me

So I´ve decided, Im going to do this, Im going to study hard, from life mostly now, to learn how to draw properly, getting securer with lines, and hopefully shading, I will try to get a pencil sharpener (the one I got one is broken) so I can learn to use broad strokes with the pencil.
Today though I had (have) a fucking headache, better and worse sometimes but I have it, did these two shitface pages. did them too fast.
oh, and the painting I was talking about, didn´t do anyone today sadly:/
The painting is kinda bad though.

Good work, your paintings look better than the last ones you did, if you have trouble with head construction, practice the method by Mr. Loomis until you're comfortable with it, the more you study his book on heads the better your understanding of them will be, I know they are hard though, I had so much frustration when I started them (and still do all the time!). Keep drawing~!

    Hey thanks guys
Today my day was like... uuguhuhug. But I wanted to draw everyday, so I did some very bad hand experiment (bad as in bad hands). and half a page of bad loomis pages (can´t really concentrate when Im tired and in front of the computer). Will do post them tomorrow just for the sake of it maybe and the half page of loomis will be a full page plus lots of other stuff hopefully. gnight

ok, the top ones are loomis heads, and the down there, well I got a pencil sharpener so I wanted to try out some wooden pencils, didn´t care about the anatomy, just doodled, so yeah the anatomy is kinda fucked up.

    life, my face

    hand experiment

bad bad bad loomis studys, done too fast and too bad

so I gotta stop being so lazy again, man these all above sucks horse ass, no need to crit them really as I know how bad they are. oh well, school starts soon, maybe it will get me of my lazy butt.

Don't be so hard on yourself! Your making tremendous progress, and those loomis heads look great. I'm not exaggerating when I say that your fast progress is surprising me!

great progress from begin to now !! Don't feel bad because you feel drawing isn't going as well as you'd like ... the new drawings are still of a consistent quality !
Progress is not just your best drawings getting better, but also your 'shitty' ones getting less shitty, so you're doing good !

As a crit ... do some more lifedrawing (any object can do), and take your time for it !

And make your ellipses flatter ... if you measure it out, the top (ellips) usually adds much less to the height of the object (like a cup or smt) than you'd think (same for cubes).

    Keep it up !

Your latest drawings are a lot better already, so I'm with Dan. You're really progressing.

I don't know if you've been asked this before, but how much time do you normally spend on a piece? It could be a very big help to spend a few hours on one piece, it really helps, trust me.

hey dude, just wanted to say, looking at your first drawings compared to your latest drawings, you've improved dramatically. I know I always feel that I'm barely improving, but when I go back to some of my old drawings and compare, I amaze myself. Gets me motivated.

    Keep drawing, you're doing great!

    Thanks everyone for the support.
God, one year of drawing (I also started drawing in september) feels like it been shorter, feels li...Know I could done way more/way better..... I´ve gotten a weeks non-computer thingie for a dumb thing (made by my sister, long story short, she sucks) anyway here are some older ones and some newers ones, drawing been kinda bad latley (bad as in not drawing so much):
    hand in mirror:

made from my head, tried not to touch the paper with the hand, shading went really bad:

I like the cleaness of these, something along these lines (no pun intended) is my goal in the future, and rendering something along wesley burt

we got a doggie, amstaff, really bitey, but really cute, spended all time with her, got to do some quick sketches when she slept:

    some bad hands:
