Amazing work here, it's much harder than it looks! If anyone could give me a critique or some help, I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

Getting back into doing figure studies. Catching glimpses of nice clear shorthand. Need to work on line quality, also simplification.
It helps to remember that the form concepts always remain the same, just the angle you see them from changes(eg, the head does not completely change from the front to the back views, my mass concept for the cranium, neck, ears etc. is the same, only the relationships in space change.)

    Hey,

I love the stuff posted here and I want to get better at drawing from imagination. I post a lot of images here (some of the are rather old), if it's too cluttered tell me, I'll remove the old ones. Here's to a hopefully regular future participation of mine!

Before you start doing figure from the mind, get a good amount of time in studying the figure from reference. It'll help a lot I promise.

Sorry to bother, but I didn't want to open a new thread for my tiny question. I'm looking for some good ressource sites faces, like different genders, ages, ethnics...google didn't really help me.
    Thanks a lot .

Hi, I was really fascinated with the drawings here so I tried one for myself:

I've been concentrating about the anatomy for over a month now.
I didn't use any guidelines or references for that one so there'll be a lot of mistakes there.
I'm 17 and never went to any life drawing class if that's an excuse

Hello, new member here, I'm eagerly seeking feedback on some figures I've drawn before I move on to trying to design outfits and such.

Like the previous poster, I haven't had the privilege of life drawing lessons before, so I try to study anatomy closely and get as much critique as I can.

the 2nd Image I want to post is a kind of large so I'm linking from somewhere else.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any feedback!

Good approach regarding studying the figure first, before moving onto costumes and clothing. most people just skip the first part, and go for the instant-gratification.

Look up Michael Hampton's book: www.figuredrawing.info

I really should start posting in this thread again. Quite good at figure construction, but mine tend to be a bit stylized. Time to sink my teeth, and re-engage.
"Never regret thy fall from grace, O' spirit of Icarian flight, for the greatest tragedy of them all to face, is to never feel the burning bright"
Believe my lies, for I tell the truth about them. Or would you rather me lie about telling the truth?

Some of my first attempts at the body without refrence. I'm finding that life drawing is really helping me with these. Any advice would be fantastic. Thanks!
