    hey soja
    your improvement is out of control once again!
    the study of the girl is pretty sweet but i agree with what jakers mentioned
    in that last one i actually enjoy the two faces in the backround but great job on the values with the girl, her hair falls flat in some places as well as her cloak, i guess push the tonal changes more
    anyways keep up the good work

    lol... "I did a portrait study of my dad when he was younger it's also a birthday present" instead of " I make a birthday present to my dad it's also a study,,," hahaha...

    Well u know my parents are very old fashioned asian parents. they're never pround was pretty hard to make them understand that i could earn money with that what im doing...well i hope i can do it someday other wise i will be kicked out of the family .....
    nah seriously, it use to happen,,, even when your pretty good to draw..

    LOL!!!--> http://www.diemybui.com/sketchbook2/...4/041004/8.jpg it made me laugh xD hohohooho its like an hour drawing and shading, then you realize one ear is higher up the other

    noouu, now seriously, in the first image, I would fix,,, emm noo not fix,, practice, pants (pants?? [leg clothes xDD]), cause it looks like the stuff from imagination from post 310 (and I saw the same thing in the ballers, the firsts) (wouu I was looking for good pants through your sb n' I found out this http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1196208081
    I really liked it!

    OKK continuing..the second is what I like the most,,, cause is from imagination and it has a lot of details, huge amount of depressions and ... (dunno the word, elevations?), maybe the neck llooks a bit weid to me.

    in the next, I dunno which/what muscle is in the left leg it does not appear in your studies .. (Im really bad making questions xd)

    in the next, the guy with the girl I dont find anything criticqckeable xd

    mir ist langweilig (I now german )
    the next, it looks like superman, nice woman , I like the clothe (clothe?) of the man spinning? the coffee (dunno if he's doing what I thing hes doing)

    neext... the guy in bottom right, his ear is out of place?

    neext, no crit.

    nice face! again, great quantity of details, now with colors , finish it! (play more with brushes you always use the same brushes set as default in ps)

    and then, studies,,, lemme (>< lemme lol) watch them a while to learn something

    chaoOO!

    saludos!

    ps. xDD my biggest post evaah

    Wow, I just browsed most of the sketchbook and I am VERY impressed at how far you've come since your first post. It's really inspirational and a reminder to me that I should be drawing from life more often.

    With the first few sketches the lines seem to be a little messy (I'm trying to work on my initial lines as well). It could be that these are more warmup type of drawings since I see more quality lines in the other sketches. Secondly in the very first sketch the proportions seem to be a tad off, though it is hard to tell exactly simply because the whole image doesn't fit on my screen. It looks like the the pants are sagging on the figure, but the pants show the regular length of the legs as if there is no sagging (if that makes any sense).

    Those studies are looking good and you're making me jealous with those digitals. I'll have to do some over the break myself so I can get better at it. I look forward to seeing some more stuff from you in the future, keep up the good work!

    Damn, another update already? Is this all in one day? That's crazy! I really like the last character sketch, especially in the scarf area. The dude with the beanie on has some mad stiffness going on. I think he kinda looks blocky and the proportions may be a tad off with the leg. Although I could be mistaken and it could be a balance issue instead. Or maybe both. I dunno.

    If you keep drawing at this pace, I'm the one who's going to feel lazy! I'm gonna go draw now...

    It looks like you know what you're doing with those character designs! They seem a little dispropotioned in the legs, but you seem pretty comfortable with the design aspect. I'll have some characters for next update too, but they're terrible! Nice pants studies, too! The digital piece is very monochromatic, the green of the uniform doesn't stand out from the green of the background. But then again, it's camo, and that's what it's supposed to do!

    @Jamesy!
    Really i dont know what im doing! i just a quick shiloutte on my paper and erase and redraw it again again till i like the shilloute. I know i like sneakers and urban wear so that's why i like them to wear some kind of urban wear =)! So i look up the internet for some refs of cloths that i like and try to put it on my character somehow. But as u can see i still having problem getting the propotion rights because of concentrating to much on details! well just keep practicing and hoping that i will get it! The digital painting just sucks! Really need to over paint it. But really to lazy so i started a new one today!
    fuck im not allowed to be lazy...will try to fix it tomorrow!
    Thanks dude!

    @Algenpfleger!
    Hey thanks for the post! Man! U inspire me a lot! and here's my study for today! I just looked up coles work man! his anatomy studies are of the hook!
    i have to try those kind of studies too!!

    Nice update, Soja! I think your character design this time is much better! That kinda-samuri warrior has some urban flava to it. I'm really diggin the digital piece as well, although I think some of the values could be pushed a little more (the left nostril and left portion of the mouth in particular). Well, I gotta go draw now.
