Haha, hopefully April's post will make up for it!
I posted all this in Finally Finished, but I alwyas like to have all my work together in this thread too. Here is a Hellboy and a bunch of concept art i did for Big Huge Games.

Beautifull stuff. Love the colors in the Hellboy piece.
Here are some new things. Kind of venturing into children's book territory here, but that's ok. I enjoyed it a lot, and its got me brainstorming on an extended children's book project of my own. That would be fantastic to publish it one day.
nice clean colour work man, confident stuff. I like the animation stills too, especially the stopping one.

Musta missed your sketchbook over on here! But man I do like your concepts and what not, definately does a good job of illustrating what im in dire need of!
Jackwhat - yeah, I hear ya man, I should probably be doing more concept-specific stuff in my down time.
So here I have a piece that I did at the Illustration Master Class, it was way fun! I apologize if you've already seen this in the "Finally Finished" forum. Anyway, I've included my process as well, and if you'd like to read more about the experience, you can do so at my blog: http://mcleannews.blogspot.com
Thanks for checking in.

Dawwwww, you guys are too nice.
Wings of Destiny here I come!
Took some time tonight to do 15-minute paints from movie stills. I'll admit that I'm wayyyy uncomfortable with doing this kind of thing, but I need to do it more! I'm gonna try and pledge at least 2 hours a day to doing something for myself, to just practice and get better.
I know these will probably knock the thread back down to 4 stars, BUT HERE GOES ANYWAY!!!!

Alrighty, here's another 2 hours worth of speedpainting from King Kong. 15 minutes each. If anyone has any pro-tips on this stuff, lay 'em on me! I'm sure the bulk of what I need to know just comes with practice, but I'm always open to suggestions!
awesome man, youre gonna be the most beautiful flower. Wow look at those pedals![]()

Woo!!! My fist illustration gig with Wizards of the Coast! The illustration is online now, so I guess I'm good to post it here too. This was an illustration accompanying an article in the online version of Dragon Magazine, issue 377. I worked with Jon Schindehette on this one, it was quite a privilege.
I will post more King Kong studies soon!

This sketch book is fantastic, it makes me want to grab my sketchbook and sit at the ol draftin table for hours on end. To behonest, I may just go spend an hour or two there now because of this. Top notch work. I'll be checking in and out by the way.
Thanks man, lately its been all about getting my motivation back! I'm glad to hear its infecting others!
Here are some more King Kong speedies, 15 minutes per image, as usual.
The stills are a really great exercise, I think your value has improved. Grats on your wizards work too.

Thanks guys!
Here is tonight's session of King Kong.
I think maybe I might switch it up tomorrow, with some anatomy studies or something. Won't know until tomorrow though!
Brilliant work!
really nice work, I dig those quickies.. your colour work is mad, I'd like to learn that too
Thanks guys!
Here's another batch of 15 minute speedies. Its only an hour's
worth, I used it as a warm-up before I get started on other
projects today.
