    There might have been a slight inspiration concerning the left page... without actually meaning to It started as a random doodle and that's what I saw in it... so beware of androids mighty influence

    cool stuff man. when you are using ink, sometimes your lines detract from what you are trying to show. for example, the portrait one post up. I squint, and it all looks really good and clear, but with so many lines all over the place like that, its really playing tricks on my eyes when im looking at it normally. Of course, this could be your stylistic intention, so maybe disregard, but my 2 cents. I'll keep watching your thread though, good stuff.
    I self-published a book on the fundamentals of drawing from life.

    Heya

    @jetpack: Thanks I know what you mean about the lines... at the beginning I had pretty clean (not distracting) lines, but I kept adding and adding to put some depth into the drawing. I had to add a LOT since the pen is so thin (0.4mm) It doesn't look so confusing in the original tho since my scanner messed up the contrasts..

    here are a couple more:
    selfportrait:

    another portrait:

    quick sketch (about 15-20mins):

    really like your shading.
    the nose of the woman in your last post seems a little bit out of perspective.

    Hey

    @jokisalo:
    Thanks Glad you like it - to be honest I'm only half finnish

    @OleOlsen:
    Thanks man, I'm flattered

    @Darkside:
    Thanks. I'll have to finish the "dance of the dead II" thingy till next wednesday for uni, so there'll soon be an update regarding that So far I've only made one study/sketch.

    thanks for stopping by peeps

    so here we go:

    a quick telephone doodle I just did... thought I could as well post it :

    quick studies:

    bee-thingy-concept (got bored half way through the drawing, but had to finish it for the sake of simply finishing it):

    another one for the portrait book. Not really satisfied with it, concerning likeness and facial anatomy :/

    sketches for "Dance of the Dead II" I did during writing/fonts class - w/o reference:

    Nice stuff. That bee thing is sweet. The bottom left hand, the 3 fingers look a bit stubby to me. Besides that, this stuff is great. BTW, dance of the dead, no referance, I bow down to you.

    Hey everyone

    Oh my... finally I got to scan some stuff... I'm so busy right now, so please forgive my not posting - those who care

    @sanby: thank you for your kind words

    So here's some of the things I've been up to lately

    random scribbles:

    quick sketches from historical paintings we did in class (about 10 mins each):

    some idea sketches I did for graphic design class:

    a concept, that started as another fun-battle with Soja - we weren't quite clear about the topic, so we didn't finish the battle - finished the drawing tho Re-Design of a Warhammer(Dawn of War) Space Marine:

    and finally my first draft of "Dance of the Dead II" - my prof didn't like it tho, so I have to redo most of it (sorry for the really bad photograph):

    C&C as always very welcome
    thanks for looking

    random

    inspired by life

    hey t, cool stuff.
    I would suggest to use fewer lines in your sp, like you made in the portrait of your friend. If you squint, it looks really great, I mean it , but in that way it is a bit confusing.

    I scrolled through all that and I HAVE to leave a message.
    You have such an incredible touch that it passes the line of "inspirational." Keep posting!

    rrrrr, looks strong but your left cheek is a hole, hope not in reality
    the portraits are coming along nicely.
    btw, I´m really impressed by your _just_few_lines_ skeletton drawings, will try this when I have them really fixed in my mind looks very loose and confident.
