    Amos38's box of sketches

For the past year or so as I've begun my little art journey, my sketches have just been stacked haphazardly into a box or obscure mess of folders on my hard drive... An online sketchbook looks like it'll be much more organized and useful - plus there's all the other freakin' awesome sketchbooks on this site to look at that's icing on the cake. Any tips, suggestions, crits, etc. are very welcome!

To start things off, I'm posting a couple of sketches for a character I'm working on. One image shows my sketch and thought flow which leads to a more finalized sketch. Gonna spend some more time working on the guys face and keep chipping away at figure drawing in general.

Minecraft painting and some pose work

A picture I did for my wife's birthday, who likes Minecraft. Also one of the pose/muscle sketches I've been messing around with.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my SB.

You've got a nice start here. Good muscles studies and ideas, though maybe the guy in the first post's pose looks a little over-exaggerated. Keep going and good luck. And post some more!

    Dragons and spear throwing dudes

Posting a dragon rider piece I finished up and some more work messing around with poses and muscles. One of the sketches I deformed the spear throwing dude - sorta like the little guys from Super Hero Squad, but without the huge hands and feet.

From the faces I see in the non-minecraft stuff, and just anatomy in general, it seems a bit wonky. I'd suggest you take a look at Loomis or Vlippu's stuff.
