Question Let's play who is this artist!

I had a few drawings and I couldn't remember who the artist was. These were scanned and sent by email. Maybe someone can help me here, because I need to find out who drew this. Then, if someone get's the answer right, the winner get's to share his own art and see if someone can guess who made it.

Ok, I'm confused, because the pic I'm seeing doesn't appear to have been done by a professional.

I'm more confused about the price for winning. I get to share my own art? or art that I have that I don't know who made? Actually I'm just confused all around. How is this a game? And why do people e-mail you art without you knowing who made it?

I thought it was supposed to be: Member posts an image, first member to guess the artist then posts a new image, then so on and so on until the forum gets bored of it.

Sounds like fun. It'd be a way to learn more artists. I doubt it'd play out very well, though, unless we only did the canonized art history stuff. There'd have to parameters to prevent the thread from screeching to a halt.

    Ah that makes sense.

And yes it could be fun.
Perhaps there could be a time limit and if nobody guessed it right, the poster of the latest image has to start giving out clues.

Well yeah, that would be the standard "Guess the..." game.

The idea is that I was collaborating with this artist on a space based strategy game, and I lost my contacts and haven't talked to him since. I need to find out who it is, so I can give him credit. I think I know who it is now, I've narrowed it down, but I'm waiting for confirmation.

Since that one was so hard, I'll give you another. An easy one....

No, the silhouette is quite different from the Tiger's Claw.

That's why I said kinda. It's missing quite a few things, tower, the wings in the back, the engine should probably be shorter, broader, and narrower. Landing strip is what reminded me of the Tiger's claw, and the little broadsword on the strip.

Why does everyone approach artists with the "Contest" shtick....like we're all toddlers who can't resist a contest of any kind, no matter how inane the prize is, or how little chance there is of winning. Can't you just ask us straight up?

The whole thing feels like creepy stranger rape van, sortof.

You know, you could have just said that in the first place, instead of dressing it up as some sort of game that nobody can understand the rules of.
