hampton is awesome to draw, dont forget to apply it dude! that book has ALOt of info, ease into it and try to draw a full arm from memory and then compare it to hamptons, see what you forgot or got wrong and repeat, this will really juice your studies because mecanic copies will only get you so far!

remember that its of the utmost importance to always construct your drawings, specially the ones from imagination, try to feel the forms and the subject, good luck!

Tnx for commenting, as I said in the original post, the things I've been posting have been made for a couple of months now, I'll catch up with what I'm doing now eventually.

Hey there, looking good so far man. Your line work looks solid so far. There are places here and there that need to be cleaned up and there is stuff that is still off proportionally but that will come with time. Always keep a sharp eye for what looks right and always be honest with yourself, if something is off, go back and fix it immediately. Don't just let it slide, otherwise you wont improve. Your painting skills seem far behind your drawing skills (although the character piece you did was pretty good) so you might want to ridge that gap.

Nice anatomy studies, the human figure is definitely a good place to start. Don't forget the head, hands, and feet. They are all pretty tricky so practice them a lot.

Overall, good work man. Let's see more!

Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook. I am very impressed with the standard of your anatomy work and observational skills. You clearly are applying lots of knowledge and those arms are really well drawn. Have you done any life drawing? It would be good for you to see these shapes in real life and have fun drawing them. Also, using negative space can be a really useful tool when checking proportions and angles. For example, the woman in post 7 (really cool btw), her back forms a triangular (negative space) shape in the original but yours has a more rectangular shape, which then slightly altered the arm and neck. I am only pointing it out because you are clearly at a high standard and super accurate with your anatomy studies. Great sketchbook.

Thanks for stepping at my SB. Loving your line quality Try to render some out also (if you aren't already doing so), I figured out myself too late how important is to start early with mass drawing and tones. About your comment over doing more finished imagination stuff, I sincerely feel that I lack more experience rendering out details and working from life/photos, every time I try to do something from imagination I get stuck at some stages. But I still try a couple of times everyday to do stuff from imagination and it's starting to feel better (but not yet good enough). Thank you very much again and keep on working!.

I need to use clean lines for shadows, like you, next time. Nice studies (and huge amount). If you are learning about heads there are Proko videos on Youtube that last few minutes and explain in easy way how to visualize extreme angles. But you could already know that, so just saying.
