Level 1 Gladiator: Andabatae
Hello!! I'm Iksiel, or Katelyn; I'm nearly 16 years old and just started taking art seriously about... a year ago? Although I don't think I've done many studies until recentely woops :P
I'm hoping that making this thread will make me more focused on practicing though.
Also, I find that I'm okay with colouring, but not so much with anything else u.u (but I'm going to try and fix that)

your colouring is amazing for your age, but still muddled from a technical (not age related) standpoint.
you need to work on implying depth and anatomy, as well as doing different body/face builds. I think you are going to be awesome, but at your age, i think it would be better for you to relax and go at your own pace. I hope you aren't rushing it, because i understand that feeling, but it will also lead to you burning yourself out. Just do some gestures studies once in a while, and have fun. I'm just looking out for you, because, well, you are young and at a young age many try to rush things, as well as not being prepared for...alot of things. And i think that maybe taking critiques all time, as expected from a site such as this, might not be the best thing to enkindle a love for art.

I wouldn't worry too much about me burning myself out, otherwise you'd see more studies here and less anime hahaha!!
As for being prepared for for a lot of things, I think you're talking about all the hard work getting good at art takes, along with how harsh people can be in critiques? If that's the case, I'm think I'm pretty prepared. I've had my art slammed before and sure it pisses me off a bit, but it also pushes to improve more!
On the other hand if it's neither of those things than you're probably right about me not being prepared lol.
Also thanks for the tips with what I need to improve on!! I'll definitely take those into consideration!
