I'm thinking about saving a couple hundred dollars by buying a tablet pc on ebay. I'm worried about buying a damaged pc. I can't afford to lose money trying to save money. Anybody have any experience with buying lemons on ebay?
Obviously I've never shopped there before, so I could be overlooking something obvious.

Hm, try look for sellers that look serious.
For tablet pc's there are often resellers on ebay where you can ship it back within 14 days.
But in general I don't think that there are any guidelines.
Looking at their ratings and reading other people's opinion upon the seller is the best you can do I think.
