Environment practice. About 4-5 hours. Spent half the time plotting out the perspective(which probably isnt correct)

Could you post the perspective plotting you used for that image? I'm not great at perspective myself but I put it into photoshop and couldn't find things lining up anywhere really. Other than the perspective, you have a nice sense of light and composition. I look forward to more work from you!

The colors in that environment are a really good direction, I like it a lot.
The first image looks like a daring start... haha.

Focus on proportions and accuracy in your silhouettes, and study anatomy body part by body part, starting from your worst one.

About the environment, the main thing I would change is the indication of people - they are not as loose as the rest of the painting, try to make them a loose silhouette, try to see where a bigger, more coarse brush can take you.

Good work so far and keep it up man!
As you are reading this, I am trying to become more awesome:

The Pariano:With perspective lines. It's not entirely correct mind you. I find it tough to plot vanishing points that are outside the canvas
Shinkan:Thanks for the advice. I realize now how disjointed the silhouettes feel in relation to the rest of the painting.

Hey, Panama! Welcome to the boards. Your sketchbook already shows a lot of potential. I'm liking the asymmetrical masked lady piece. Your environment piece also looks pretty good, but the perspective feels a bit wonky. Can't wait to see you progress! Keep pushing.

edit: ah, sorry! you posted while i was forming my message. D=

Eroquii: Thanks for the kind words. I see the mistakes now but I guess that's the whole point of a sketchbook right? So that other people can point out mistakes I can't see and improve from there.

Your robotic forms look good, try starting the human figures in you paints and movie still studies with boxes and cylinders.

Your perspective studies are not bad, but I have to agree with what Adam said.

You're an LMS fan!! I really like your perspective studies. Everything that you draw that is not organic seems to come really naturally to you.

I have the same problem as you where my anatomy doesn't follow a "line of action". This is something I'm starting to work on. Find really interesting action pose references and break down why they work the way they do. This will help to add vibrancy in your figures when you draw them in your environments and in your characters

I hope that helps, I'll be back to check up on your updates!
