    2012 Work

Recently I was going through my work for 2012 trying to figure out if anything was worthy of submitting to the Spectrum annual. I always find it very difficult to make this decision as I'm too close to the pieces and have my own opinions about them based on things I think were or weren't successful.

Since Spectrum is a jurored competition I thought it might be helpful to get some opinions from the art community about which pieces they thought I should enter. Here are several pieces I'm considering. Please let me know which piece or pieces you think are worthy of submissionName: X-LeaderOfLight-adv.jpg

First off, I could easily see most, if not all, of these pieces in Spectrum.....so, it's all great work. I had a hard time choosing myself, but I went with "Epic Experiment". It's just really damn solid. I really like the color contrast of the cool electricity vs. the warm background elements. I would say 3 and 9 are pretty much on the same level. Hope that helps.

I haven't been on here for a while. It's like a ghost town. What the heck happened?

Absolutely amazing stuff. What is Spectrum? My personal favorite are N.o 1 and 9. I think Image 6 is the most impressive, but I prefer the design of 1 and 9.

I absolutely love your work Dan! I've been a long time fan of your Magic work. My personal favourite is the first one (Leader of Light). I think you just nailed that one.

2 and 3 are very dynamic...I was scrolling through your work and then I stumbled upon your work for Magic(the fire card). It was pretty dang cool. I just picked up the pack with that card in it yesterday. And to come on here and see you posting is really cool! Thanks a lot for sharing!

Really cool work in here. I wouldnt have seen it if someone hadnt bumped the thread so a big thank you for that from me.

I figure you've decided which ones to submit by now so I'll just say my favourite is the guy tightrope walking with the pig's head, closely followed by 3.

    Good luck with your submission.
