    Some More Old-school WH40K Art

For a recent interview for a blog I gathered and scanned up some more of the art I did for GW in the 80s.....for those interested in old-school Warhammer 40K I've now uploaded a folder full to my Facebook page So please give me a visit and like-ings!!(see the link in my sig below)
Most are drawn with a rotring pen on paper, but I also did some in just pencil, soft pencil and brushed ink, ink-washes or combinations thereof. Deadlines varied from unhurried to "Quick! We need 22 illos by next week!!" hence the variety of complexity/immediacy in the mix!!

Fantastic pen work, it's great to see! Your style reminds me of Chris Riddell a little (from the Deepwoods books). I wish you luck in getting all the pictures done before the deadline, that's quite a task!

Wow, what a treat! These take me back to when I used to play Warhammer, Epic ect... as a kid. I instantly recognise most of them. Great stuff!

Done and dusted my friend! That job was in 1988!! It was pretty tight but not that unusual back then! I just had to adopt as rapid a style as possible and in some sense achieved a more immediate and dynamic style. I still preferred the ones where I could take my time and go to town though.
