Post "Just do it" is the answer.

    hello there!

Let me first introduce myself a bit. My name is Tessa, I live in the Netherlands and I'm 15 years old. I've been drawing since I was little, and started to take it seriously about 2-1,5 years ago.
So, I've been looking around on ConceptArt for a while now, and somehow I found the courage to post some of I my own stuff (:
I know it is absolutely far from perfect, but I'm working on it.
Most of these are just quick sketches from my imagination, and a few with reference.
They are from my sketchbook, starting from april 2012.
Hoping to recieve some useful critiques/tips, they are always more than welcome (:

Some of those renderings look fantastic. Namely, the portrait of the sculpture and the two torsos. I would say just keep building the mental library; you're only going to improve from here. You have serious potential. Wish I was as good as you are when I was 15!

Wow, you are incredibly inspiring! I agree with Jeff V- continue building your mental library, continue drawing from life and doing studies! I can't offer any helpful critique. ): I do look forward to seeing more from you though!

So today we went to a museum with school. Just made a few sketches, not so special but I'm posting them anyway (:
I was really amazed by the masterpieces from the old masters. You know, rembrandt etc. Stood there for an hour, just admiring everything
We didn't have much time so this is everything I've got:

You really are ahead of the game with your work, looks like you are doing all the right things drawing from your imagination studying anatomy ect. I guess just draw everything. Your pencil rendering is very impressive,, that male bust and the male torso pencil study in your first post are real stand outs. You have a good understanding of form. Just keep learning and you will get very good.

Hi there Tessa. I must say, you have impressive skills. Your last orc warrior drawing reminded me of the art of Wei Wang, who works at blizzard. You can see the illustration I'm talking about here: http://www.sonsofthestorm.com/images...Glowei012b.jpg
I think you should try drawing still lifes and human figures with a model. Although copying from references is very good, it's much better to have the real living thing in front of you, not only because you force yourself to understand what you draw but also because it's an important founding block in drawing. Id recommend you study anatomy. Maybe you'd like to visit ctrlpaint.com too, awesome website. With nothing more tos ay, cya around!
BEHOLD. You're about to witness us...

Dave'swarminsides - thanks so much for the usefull comment (: I'm taking art classes, and within a few weeks we'll be starting life drawing, atm we're busy with perspective. Thanks for the links too ^^

Matelo - will do, will do (:

    Papu - thanks c:

Psychobuddy - I was surprised how easy it was for me to draw with a tablet. I am still really struggling with colour and shading, though. I hope practice makes perfect? A drawing is never perfect, but you get what I mean (: thanks for checking out my sketchbook

Had some big tests at school so I couldn't find much time for drawing, started reading ''the practise and science of drawing'' by Harold Speed here's the progress, as you can see I still have a lot of work to do (:
