    Sketch, sketchy, sketch

    Hi!
So, I dont wanna bore veryone with my back story. As everybody here, I finally decided to join Conceptart.org to commit myself to a sketcbook and document my progress as an artist (and hopefully get some crits, and make some good friens in the way ).
This is it, is all or none.

    Let the games begin!

The first page are heads from my "head" Xd, the second just two head studies from ref.
The third page are just some ideas for the wizard Rincewind. If anybody out there knows what Discworld is will know what I am talking about, if you don´t, well...you are missing out!
The hand studies are all from life, using my own hands, my dad´s hands and some friend´s XD
All the stuff is dated between beginning of the month and last week.

Really nice drawings, great line quality. Only thing I don't see is full figures, remember they are important.
Keep it up, you already got a strong foundation, and never forget to study muscles, skeletons, different materials aaall that crazy stuff.

Ace work all round 21st Clover, those characters are so great! You created so much variety in that page I also like the hand and head studies from life. No crits from me as you seem to know what you're doing. I will suggest maybe doing some shorter hand studies where you don't go into so much detail with the linework and shading - just capturing the essential shapes and seeing how they twist n'turn.

    All the best

telohs Thank you, yeah I am going to be posting some full figures as well. Really important to know how the figure works as you said . Need to study anatomy, hard!
    Spudonkey Thank you!
ceddo haha, thank you so much, still a lot to work on though. Next time I will definitely try to do what you said.I think that will help me to work some proportion and perspective issues, stuff I dont check as much as I should, trying to make the drawing look pretty. Thank you for the idea again!
SophieW Thank you I dont really think I have a style yet, so the fact that you said that is "something" there, I guess makers me happy!

So here is more dump, some small figure studies (I was rewatching Avatar: The last Airbender, so that inspired me on working on some kung fu poses). I was trying to practice my block in a to pay attention to the weight. I think I just accomplish this in some of them...Well, that is what practice is for right?? There are some quick studies from a magazine, and a self -portrait. Man I need to practice self-portraits...

    triggerpigking Thank you !!!
Cerasela hahahaha, glad you did ,thank you so much for stopping by!Too bad I could not finish all of them on time

I got into a challenge in which we were supposed to draw 100 heads in one day, I couldn,t finish on the same day, but I did finish...at my own pace. Anyway, here they are, and a 2 hour drawing from life. Got a tone of figure drawing studies, but the paper does not fit in the scanner :/.

Wow the volume of pure drawing for these head, hand and body studies you are getting done in here is excellent. It is nice to see a bit of colour work in your latest post too. Your self portrait shows you have good construction going into it, and the light-dark divide is crisp and distinctive, so good work on the values. You might find it easier to smooth out softer forms by using a larger brush - it helps to attack "streakiness" too, which shows up here on some of the larger forms like the cheek, chin and neck.

It also might help to study up on skin tones and/or colour theory. Specifically, in different areas of the face, the local colour can vary quite significantly. If you google 'color zones of the face', a nice diagram of Abe Lincoln should come up explaining this, and there are a few accompanying articles about it too.

    Keep up the good work!
