Nate Learns to Draw (NSFW)

Hey everyone,

I began drawing two months ago. I started by copying from "how to draw comics" books and then got serious about wanting to draw figures. I stumbled upon Loomis and Hampton, but really struggled until I found Vilppu. Now that I have a bookshelf full of help and a pencil, my goal is to be proficient with drawing figures from imagination.

Critiques will always be welcome!!

Here's the figure work in pencil...

The last one shows the power of Vilppu given 1 1/2 weeks of serious study. Then again, it could be a fluke as I surprised myself (not perfect by far, but a big jump!) :-)

2 hours, pencil... looks harsher in the picture than on paper, but botched the eyes for sure!

2 pages of 2 minute gestures, a couple of 5 minute gestures, and a 1 1/2 hour drawing.

Work In Progress....... First real attempt at a digital painting from imagination... spent way too long on this, it's only partially rendered, and I can't seem to get it past looking like a cartoon. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
