    Oil Paint and ventilation

    Hey there folks!

I would like to start painting again ( oil and solvent ). However in my new place and with a baby around, the only place where i could do it, is in the back storage. Which is about 6ftX5ft and 8ft high.

A Air ventilation with Hepa filter is not a solution due to space....

Will a Kitchen Air vent do the trick and keep me safe?

If anyone has info about it or a link it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Why do you want to use a solvent for painting in oils?

Solvents aren't really necessary. As a medium you can use pure linseed oil and as a brush cleaner use a fatty soap (I guess the english name for it is curd soap).

    I myself don't use solvents.

How about getting a portable setup and working outside?
And just a warning from experience, be careful with materials once that baby starts toddling about. Some of the paints themselves can be very harmful.
    What would Caravaggio do?

Maybe focus on drawing through the wet, colder months?
