Well an exhaustive year I have finished writing and illustrating part 1 of book 1 of my series called Atlantis.
Initially this book was an idea I came up with as a vehicle to do a lot of illustration. We discussed different ideas on how to illustrate this type of story and settled on the old 1 illustration per chapter idea. This is the way books used to be illustrated, as far as I know, and it seemed a lot more doable than creating a graphic novel. I am a fulltime freelance graphic designer so one of the biggest challenges was keeping up with work and working on the book!Atlantis Ship of the Gods is an epic, illustrated fantasy series. Join the saga and discover the origins of earth. Board the Starship Atlantis and meet the Atlantians, creators and caretakers of the universe. Experience the birth of man and his brand new planet. Follow the team of young adventurers who are drawn into the conflicts of their doomed home planet. Observe them as they join forces with the Atlantians to create a new life in a world they call Earth. Book 1 begins with a Neanderthal quest.
We are well into part 2 and hope to release it in a timely manner. Currently the title is only available on Amazon kindle http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...w_clar_choose1 - as will part 2 be - but once we have both parts of book 1 we will be making a print version available!
I appreciate anyone who buys it and reads it! If you do please let me know how you like it, what it might be lacking, as well as my effectiveness as an illustrator!
Here are all the illustrations from the book including the cover (though not all in the right order) i appreciate any advice, critiques and help! I am beginning marketing stages as well and advice there is greatly appreciated also!
I will post some initial character and world concepts shortly.
