    Returning to 3DS, can't remeber something I know is pretty simple.

    So I'm returning to 3DS after a long hiatus and I pulled up some old projects I did a few years ago.

    Problem is they don't display right. Like this low poly model. They don't render properly either. For some reason the shoulder pad alone displays correctly.



    Problem is I'm really not sure what I'm looking for and I've grow very unfamiliar with 3DS UI. I've been fumbling around in material editor but I'm not sure if I should be looking rendering stuff.

    I'd really appreciate any help.

    Looking at the colors, looks like it's showing the normal map texture and not the diffuse. You have simply to go in material editor, scroll down, find and go in "map" and then select the "diffuse" button. You will enter the diffuse shader, you can simply clic on the square with an arrow at the bottom the preview windows, that will display the diffuse texture in the viewport.

    I'm not sure I'm clear in my explanation but hope you understand :p

    Do mean The General Maps button? Sorry, I'm really lost when it comes to the material editor.
