wow awesome entries, i just read this last night and didn't really read the brief so my spider queen's arent really correct. anyways thought i would post a few quick sketches i did since i wont have time to finish.

My first time attempting a ChoW submission.

The idea was to split the mythology of Lolth into two parts, the spider & the maiden--since the description only talks from the perspective of the witnesses.

My take: Lolth was a narcissistic elfy herself, and from some magical reason or another (maybe too power hungry, and got into some bad voodoo) got warped into a spider, was given an insatiable hunger, and banished to "Demonweb". Her envy drives her to abducting other pretty elfies and use them as slaves, and bait for unsuspecting pervs/heroes. I suppose she also has the ability to turn others into shining samples of exquisite beauty, but cannot use the magic/spell/charm/etc on herself [/insert evil laugh].

Hopefully I'll finish in time... alas my tablet's feeling pretty suicidal today.
