Hi!

I'm new here too. Your drawings are pretty solid, but the thing that seems odd to me is how 'stiff' they feel. The expressions in the faces seem unnatural (on the two with the dude from Bleach) considering the actions going on in them. The timing also feels oddly slow in them.

On the other hand, the rocket launcher one is really good, timing wise, but the motion still feels a bit mechanical...everything moves too perfectly, too robotic. More like they're animatronics doing those movements rather than people.

May I recommend acting out and video taping those actions then rotoscoping them? You'll find a range of movements, poses, and expressions you never expected to find and it'll lend a bit more naturalness to your movements.

I know rotoscoping gets a bad name, and I'm not suggesting do that for all work or finished work, but as a means of discovery and study, it's priceless.

Thanks for the input. I am extremely wary with rotoscoping because its straight copying and not learning anything about form. As you said, I could use it as a study so I can get a more human-like motion.

Not bad, although I think you ought to look up Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair and study the contents of it. Plus, there's a lot more you can learn from old cartoons from the '30s up till the '50s.

This still needs works. The hair needs flexibility, some more frames here and there, and the face needs works. I still need to add the roses.

Still need some more frames in some areas and the face isnt done. This is a follow up to the "Reaction Test" after this character was blown up by a rocket. If I do another animation based on this story, I will need to redesign this character because his hair is insanely hard to control.

Need to work on my smoke but I dont see its worth testing much. This is the last scene for my WIP movie and now I need to compile all my rough clips to see if it looks good.

This is a redo of Rose Swing Test shown here .
While I was compiling all my clips, the original did not provide me the effect I wanted so I redid it. The face isnt done and the rose still needs some work.

The original has been bugging me because it felt too stiff, too much movement, and arkward. I decided to make it simplier by doing only two movements. I still need to fix the face and give some movement to the hair. The blast still needs work but I am compiling the all the clips to see how the whole film would appear first.
