    Death Cap

I don't know if I'm posting in the right place.

    "Death Cap"

I've been painting this guy during lunch at work to continue pushing my concept skills. Photoshop.

If your friend or loved one dies in the woods. lost or in battle, they will rise up and carry the bones back to your door step
, collapsing in a lovely pile of corpse, dirt, tree bark, bugs etc. The gruesome appearance and unceremonious dumping of half rotten corpses often leads to fainting housewives and terrified children, so they are not particularly beloved beings, despite friendly intentions.

I like it; its got a great gesture to the pose; the foreshortened skull has some problems but overall it looks good.

Seems a great concept for a fantasy game, good job! Some problems here and there with lights but overall it works.

Thanks for the replies. I definitely understand the light comments...this was a big learning piece for me, it's the first time I've tried to paint form, and then add a lighting pass (the blue and orange). Trying to escape being dependent on lineart and move to a more painterly ability. I think I got good results, but I can tell I'm still very rough around the edges. I'd better keep working on my forms too!
