    Hi,

By this way my pleasure to notify you after my long two years recovering- personal thing around my families and so no I finally find an inspire place to live. Place which give my time and space for self- development. Place I really need to develop my interest and love.

During my difficulties in 2010 I jumped from graphic design which I have been doing since 2005 to artistic sphere. I bought a wacom intuos and start painting. I really found at in it passion. But it was for my difficult somehow start. Even tough I have not so much time to focusing to it, because difficulties in my family health problem etc. So make it shorter. I painted only few things- I am totally beginner.

Now I have more time I have inspire place to work on it very hard. My plan is in this time to start more with reading and being inspired. Even how to start. Maybe Firstly I would like to start traditionaly with piece of paper and pencil

I found ouf myself very passioned in landscapes, environments. That is what I would like to do, designing these stuff for video games, movies etc. But firstly I need some guidance, tips, inspirations, interview with best artists. Suggestions what tools for sketching use- which exact pencils? or Markers?

But the most important thing right now is to subscribe some Printed magazine about art in the best way focusing to things I described above.

Please guys can you give my advice ?

    Which magazine is really good?
    Which tools should I use?
Which book is good for it? to buy?

Thank you so much. I will aprreciate any kind of respond.
    Tom.

It seems to me you are overthinking things.

All you need is the following: A pack of any brand printer paper. A box of any brand HB or 2B pencils, whichever works better for you. And sketch everything.

And go visit a nearby library for art books and magazines, from time to time.

    Hi,

With regards to magazines, the sky is the limit. I subscribe to popular science, popular mechanics, national geographic, Road & Track. I pick up comics at my local comic shop. I also pick up this mag from time to time: http://idnworld.com/
In all honesty, it’s up to you, research images inspire you, draw from them. Don’t just limit yourself to “Art” magazines.

    Good luck.

Read the stickies here, especially in the Fine Art section and Tutorials, then come back and ask again.

You can buy pencils almost anywhere. I buy mine in an office supply store. You do not need special pencils to draw, although having several different hardness pencils is useful.

If you are going to buy markers, be aware that you need marker paper for best results, and it's best to stick to a set of gray markers until you know that you want to work primarily in marker. Markers are very expensive, you need many colours (because you can't blend them as easily as paint), and if you have to buy them online they are difficult to replace when they wear out.

Also, experiment a little. Pencils are cheap. Slick paper and hard pencils make me sad. Rough paper and soft pencils make me happy. Happy makes better art.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
