    Plug-in color problem

All the extensions or plug-ins I put on my photoshop have this problem of turning to a tan color, even the extensions that came with my Photoshop are having this problem. The painterswheel is an example of this color problem http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...pse9f1c115.jpg

Anyone know how to fix this because no matter how much I google I cannot find the problem even posted.

    I am using Photoshop CS4 (x64).

3rd party plug-ins in photoshop are handled by flash, maybe you have some weird settings in Windows? That don't seem to be a Photoshop problem.

    - Maybe try to change the system skin to default
    - Check if you have the latest Photoshop CS4 updates (Help -> Updates).
    - Try Downloading Photoshop CS6 as a Trial to see if problem persists.
    - Check in Help -> System Info - what kind of operating system Photoshop sees. Is this the right one you are using?

BTW. I suggest to try out Coolorus instead of PaintersWheel - it has a 7 days trial mode and by the end of 2012 it's has 30% discount.

as far as I can tell nothing weird is set in windows and I have changed the theme and such to default a few times already testing that theory and found nothing relating to the problem. The extension work fine in other CS4 programs, Photoshop is the only one with the problem.

Even the connections extension has this brown color and it comes with photoshop.

Everything is also up to date, the problem has been there from day one.

I also have the same problem with coolorus, in fact it was the first plugin I installed on photoshop but later deleted it because the brown was driving me crazy.

I know this is a drastic way to check but maybe fresh windows install would work?

if it requires something that drastic then I will stop worrying about it since I plan on upgrading my photoshop to CS6 after buying a cintiq 22HD first. Working on my studio setup before I graduate in a few months so I can switch from part time freelancing to full time.

That reminds me an old issue with a corrupted Samsung monitor profile where the white was replaced by a bright yellow. But as your issue is concerning extensions only, it is probably something else.

Have you tried a factory restore of photoshop to see if the problem stops? CTRL+ALT+SHIFT when launching the program?

The only other thing I can think of is what color profile you're using in Photoshop itself.
