I'm back to thinking a little more in the character design, here you have some ideas.

    First sketch.
Trying to give him the old hippy vagabond look that has a certain 70s feel to it.
He'd probably be thinner from starvation

Might take a little break since I spearheaded this overnight, first time painting a character with a specific design process

ArtbyAntB : BADASS SANTA ROCKS !!!!

Migsta: he looks kinda "clean". some scratch and some dirt migth look nice on both of them *the sleight and santa.

Ninja Adi : maybe some battery fot the lights ...
and something to make him looking more santalike ... key stuff .. colours ...
some accesories ,,, etc ... maybe more presents too ..

PhilipO : not sure.. maybe you can find a better angle for it

Pkun : im digging santa motero .. (the second one)

onez : the "second" one .. the one with the glasses .. he looks cool to me.

mcreation: is a nice concept, i will just say if you really want to go for the sleigh-reindeer idea, push it forward

thanks el khan, ill push it...i hope...
onez- the second one look good to me also, has more of a santas feel
Pkun- dont know why butt i digg the top right figures better, even if he looks somewhat dfferent from santa, but hey its a new aproach we re trying here
Ninja Adi- watch out the perspective on the shopping cart looks weird
migsta- looks awesome, really nice cartoony aproach
bjulvar- thast a badass santa, really nice, but i feel he needs a bit more santa feel, right now if i remove the red cloak and the title on this thread it doesnt read to me as santa, but hey nonetheless its amazing

Here's what I've cooked up so far. Not sure if I can squeeze in some more of that almost nonexistent sleigh! And yeah it's pretty dark. I'll drop some comments later!

I really like this time of the year. It's intended to be a cheerful reflection of the past year with family, but it turns out to be a clusterfuck of frantic housewives and work consumed businessmen out in droves willing to kill for a christmas gift. Awesome.

My Santa would never rock a Sleigh. He burned that long ago for firewood and supplies, then killed all his deer to survive the next 2 winters... except Rudolph. Rudolph became his flashlight.

Very nice. I would ether make the background a bit lighter or put some more light on him to get him to pop out more.
    Vershkau
Good sketches especial the last. like the look in his eyes. At this point I think you could ad some more santa stuff to him
    Bnoch
Your great concept. your technic is so brilliant.

Couldn't resist going for this santa

    Santa after Zombie apocalypse.
After ZA Santa carry both a Gun and Gift.

First Santa say Ho ho ho, and if the reply is kkkkkkkkkhhhhhhaaahhhhhhhaaa... Santa shoots back.
    Else gives gift.

Man, Bnoch, I would love to see your process. You should take some screen shots of your work as your are making it and throw them in here with your images.

Some sweet takes so far. Haven't made a Christmas card in a while. This'll do. I'm assuming there will be zombies to deal with after the apocalypse? You know Santa will deliver to survivors if he has to.

Scorge, the mouth seems a little low and the shotgun could be a little bigger, except that, it looks really cool
