Haha - Bnoch - Awesome concept! Love Santa's no bullshit attitude. I only wish we could see what's left of Rudolf & santa using his severed head as a flashlight.

    Love it!

Alright- literally my first post on this site, but this looked like a lot of fun so I'm giving it a shot. I've only got rough sketches now, but I'm going for a kind of grungy-cyborg Santa. His trusty mount is the RUDOLPH Mark V robotic transport unit.

Heres what I got so far. Right now it feels close to done, but I'll give it a break and see if I can come up with any ideas.

Very cool santa. Its looking good with the color and the mode. Only crit on the composition the eyes get a bit stuck in the left corner since he's looking out of the canvas. Perhaps try flip his head and let him look into the drawing.
    Aonegamer
Looks good. Maybe have some color in the shadows. Shadows in snow are usually kind of blue.

Great santa I like he's little helpers.

mcreation Nice man, you really beefed up the proportions! Liking the update, might want to look more at his face, lacks consistency with the rest of him (imo)

z01ks Loving it, he feels so thick! Digging the design overall! Right now it feels as if his belly/waist is the focal point, I'd suggest getting some more contrast too

JanJager Really cheery atmosphere, I'm amazed at how much lights and color you can put in there!

agnostes Sweet idea! I guess you'll push that santa feeling later on

Bnoch I don't think I have the ability to say something constructive. I'd check out his cast shadow a bit. I love his face, but I think that I love his arm even more.

El_Khan Hell yeah man! Terminator Santa! The foreshortened arm looks a little weird and some of the perspective on the front of the bike as well!

Mark Tarrisse Really simple and good designing! Realistic approach. Maybe the red is catching too much attention right now?

ArtbyAntB Awesome sleigh and a badass beard for Santa. He looks almost like a Witcher! Looks like he's about to fall over in that illustration sketch. Sweet stylization.

scorge Looks like a cover of a pulp magazine, I like it a lot! I'm uncertain if I agree with the shotgun being cropped though!

Sorry I'm too tired to continue, I still love you even if I missed you out!

Here's a little update on my Santa, brightened him up a bit. Still trying to nail som design elements.

This is my first time posting in the conceptart forums at all, I couldn't pass up this idea when I heard about it.
I love all the ideas I've been seeing on here so far.
I had a few other sketches, but this is the direction I'm taking my Santa at the moment,
figured he'd be bringing limbs to all the people who lost their own.

Thanks JanJager and Bjulvar for the suggestions. Changed the comp a little like JanJager suggested. Now its getting really tedious though... The overall image is not changing at all.. and im really tightening up, working on little areas too much...

i like where this is going, but his right foot is a little bothersome as it is a bit too dead-on sideways so it is the first thing that jumps at me. I think a little bit of a twist towards the viewer could make it a bit more interesting and natural

    z01ks,
I really enjoy this moment, the only thing that's hard for me to read at a first glance is distinguishing the color between the bag and the cape. I'd probably have a little rim light on the bag personally, but maybe changing the value or hue would help. Whether you change it or not, you have a great piece here.

Here's my second pass sketch, I've been real busy, but I'm going to add a little more before coloring.
I might turn it into a greeting card graphic: "Welcome to the Apocalypse!!"

How do I make him more post-apocalyptic!

Tried to rework that back boot, but resorted in covering it up with snow instead..

@z01ks: I think that the background is impoverished, but it would say post-apocalyptic if it was darker, and had only the husks of buildings, smoldering cars, etc. Perhaps a murky green in the sky? Right now it makes me think of Flint, Michigan...

Wow amazing looking entries so far.
    El_Khan I love it!

I revamped Santa's transport idea. He will instead sit on a giant Rudolph robot.
Was trying to think how it would fly/land.

Off topic but is the advanced reply screen a little bugged for anyone else?

Been destroying that backdrop today... not that happy with the color right now... or the lack of, to be precise...
And that bag is like the most uncreative shit ever... looks so boring
